Plan For The New Year, New Army.

 In the way this sort of thing happens, I had an idea. Long ago I started the alternative Björn The Fell Handed project, on the bus to work this morning I decided to try and grab a Kharne The Betrayer to use some bits on the Juggernaut riding Björn, so it looked more Khorne flavoured.

After I'd finished work this afternoon I walked across Preston and found the Warhammer Store closed. I then mooched back across town to Harlequins and found they don't have Kharne in stock, however they did have the Khorne Berzerkers box in stock.

This simple purchase sparked an idea;

 I'm already getting the Combat Patrol series, there is a both a Chaos Marine patrol and a Khorne Berzerkers combat patrol, which up to this point was getting boxed and handed in to the food bank at Christmas for someone to receive, outside of Björn on Juggernaut this is still what could happen. The plan is to build and paint both the Chaos and Khorne patrol as a Fallen Space Wolf force.

As far as painting goes the only difference from the Space Wolf guide will be carroburg crimson as the shade over agrax earthshade. Trim will be bronze with an ivory accent.

Monthly Vow 12th of September To The 12th of October

 Despite 2 weeks of near constantly being in work I did get something done, although yeah I didn't build those Terminators. However I did move forward with the Björns, even to the extent of planning another Redemptor version, I just need to check what bits I have to use from the various kits I have knocking around, so redemptor Brutalis Björn is probably an October - November project. 

September to October current plan:

I've already got the Juggernaut painted for the Khorne version of Björn, I'll probably go and change the sword arm to a chain axe later, as that thought just occurred to me, unless I have a Kharne in the chaos dreadnought box. I'm on my way to work right now so can't go and check which is really annoying, doubly so as this was supposed to be day 2 of 3 days off. Right so this Björn is on pause right now till my Kharne issue is resolved. 

The Björn dreadnought bits are being checked today/tomorrow as I know where they are, then those bits can be ordered over the month.

 I also need to order the flexible ammo feeds from Zinge for the little Björn, I don't need an ammo pack as I have the havoc sprue from Combat Patrol, I will need a couple of bolters though. Hang on how many rota cannons come in the havoc box... Will check that one later as well. 

There's Radukar the Beast to finish, I forgot I was giving him the dreadnought shield, so that's unpainted right now. 

TL/Dr 3 different versions of Bjorn, 2 bases and build those Terminators for practice. 

Review time.

My week off was nice I went to a concert, Ocean Colour Scene supported by the Inspiral Carpets in Blackpool which meant a day trip as I booked the hotel on line and had no idea where it was, which meant a day trip to Blackpool and I finally reached the cafe that Cassian Andor gets arrested at. 

I also polished off Lions Blades First Company with the Horus Heresy era Preator. 

Nothing major with this one. He's been added to the Inner Circle Companions and will cross the Rubicon Primaris, in the real world never, but in the narrative of the Chapter, when the current deployment ends. The 1st Company box has been packed away until the  fracking Assault Terminators are released, which is when I'll get around to the Satanine terminators probably. 

And onto this guy. 

The new Terminator arms worked and absolutely helped push this guy over the threshold. 

The Deamon Prince bits are probably a little bit over size for this mini, but the axe works as does the power pack and it is good to have this nearly finished. 

I added a tail to avoid the awkward look of the stinger on a canid looking dreadnought and head off the dogs bo---cks question. 

Near, oh so near now. There's a base on the to mount this and the little guy on as well, which should be here soon. I'll check order details in a bit. Once the base is here, there is a tiny bit of touching up to do and this one is done. 

On this guy I need to remove the bolters, mount the claws, add the ammo pack and feeds, mount the guns, move the exhaust and fix the trophy rack. 

I've used a different Greigor just for the reason it's easier to paint 

Juggernaut is done though, just need to think how I want to do the base.

I've got the lightning claw to fit better, I did a bit more filing on the brace on the right arm and just glued it the fist and it looks so much better.

The primary focus is the Juggernaut riding Björn for now, yes it's the easy dopamine success I know. 

Radagar Promotion

After I finished the Björn Chuck yesterday I had a break, then looked at what was still in my Björn Chaos Time Line box, the Khorne Juggernaut and Greigor are just a paint job which involves me studying Khorne art and finding the right colours. Greigor is going to be pop in his storm grey on a red smeg fridge. 

I'm going to go back to the lightning claws on the arm and fettle it til I like how it looks, I'm going to see how the wolf paw shoulder pad looks on the knee here, as right shoulder is not accessible 

 This guy does have a couple of minions on the sprue and base, I'm thinking of going with a couple of dire wolfs or a Fenris Wolf and a dire wolf, need to check the Web store.

The little guy was already discussed this morning. 

The last one, which is literally just in my head right now. Need to check ebay, I knew I had one set of Björn's claws that after I've messed around with the little guy and seeing which claws look best and which bolters look best on those little guys arms. I've got one more lot of claws on order, need to check what I have in my supply to see if I need another set of claws for the Brutalis Dreadnought and what bits I need to order to modify a Redemptor dread into Björn.

There is also a totally not serious idea plan to grad another Brutalis dreadnought and the Dominator Engine to see how those to kits go together, and potentially make a Minotaur Redemptor dread... Like I said, not serious plan.

The Next Björns

 The next steps, we'll the two old guys have bases on the way to paint and mount them on.

Radukar The Beast has most of the work already done, I'll post later with close ups of the power fist.

I'm prepare to commit major #technoheresy on the short legged Chuck and chop the bolters off the back off the hands to mount either the wolfen twin claws, 1 on each hand, or 2 claws  on each hand from the from dreadnought Björn.

Of course I also now also need to get another Brutalis dread so my loyalist side have one with 2 arms, just like the chaos side does.

Anything but the Satanine box, apparently, I'm fairly sure I do have ADHD now. 

Björn Time Line

 Honestly I never thought I'd actually be making this post, I thought this would smoulder on the back bunner till my eyes gave out.

So with parts from the Dire Wolf, Deamon Prince, Space Wolf Terminators and Greigor Fell Hand and at least a couple of years paused I'm happy to say this version is 95% complete. I've got 2 bases on the way, one for this guy and one for the loyalist version that's getting done in the next tranche of Björns.

I'm really rusty at painting fur and feel I could have got this better. 

I opted for a green Warp fire open core in the power pack

Apart from starting with a wraith bone base coat I followed the Space Wolf Terminators painting instructionings on the citadel painting app. 

Nearly finished, just some touch ups around the nose and the bases when they get here and it'll be done.
