I'm Impressed

 I'm impressed by this old guy, the fact that all 6 hip joints have a ball and socket joint that is push fit is great. The claws have 2 hinge pints that are fully articulate is outstanding for a kit this old.

Just a shame it has the looks only Vastor could love. 

Legionnaires Squad

 

I'm doing the same as I did with Wulfen Mutilaters and shipping this to work and back and doing little bits at each. 

With Saturday off I got the Fang base coat on all 10 as well as the crimson wash. Sunday afternoon I packed them up and took them to work. 

The plan being to get the brass trim done with the pens. I managed this and packed them back up to get home and get the reikland flesh wash on the brass. 

One of the last heads fron the Space Wolf Terminators box was pressed into service for the Legionnaires squad, it still needs some green stuff adding so it will sit right in an Astartes body. Will do the napkin rings in silver when I get home tomorrow.

So tonight's plan is to get at least 5 layered with Russ Grey.

2 Contemptors and 10 Legionnaires

 Finished off the legionnaires and the 2 long paused Contemptors.

The pouches, lanyards, holsters, belts and the odd face all got a Zandari dust base coat and a contrast fleshwash.

And got the 2 of the triplets finished at last. The 3rd is still in bits

I did start putting the old Defiler together last night as well as the Helbrute, once these are built I think I'll jump into the Necromunda 8th as I checked my total with these 12 and had hit 75 completed so far, as my target was 80 I'm firmly on track to smash it. Or I would be if I had time off. 

Blood Angels Dreadnoughts

These have been on pause so long I don't remember starting them. 

Okay do I brought the gold paint marker to work with me the other night, and I was happy with how the gold came out 

I took them back home and hit the gold with a reikland fleshwash to darken the gold. 

Tonight I highlighted the gold with a layer of Retributor amour and then liberator gold and was very happy with how that came out. 

 

I then started to give it a layer of evil sunz scarlet, but I don't like it. It's not what I want. I think I'll give it a another agrax earthshade wash tomorrow, then try wazzdakka red first and see how that looks. Then go evil sunz, with Wild Rider red as a faded edge red.
