The Lion's Blades Lion's Blade Formation

Doesn't look like much from this angle... So 2 Battle Demi Companies, 1 unit of 3 dreadnoughts, 2 Deathwing Redemption Forces, one with Command squad and one unit of Deathwing Knights, both can have 3 Venerable Dreadnoughts, 2 Ravenwing Attack Squadrons, need more bikes... And 2 Hammer Of Caliban Formations, just need 2 more Vindicators for that.

2 Ravenwing Attack Squadrons and 1 Support Squadron.

Attacked by a Calibanite Lion.

1st Battle Demi Company.

2nd Battle Demi Company, I have one command squad, 2 Chaplins, a single librarian, and a unit of Dreadnoughts.

Hammer of Caliban, 3 Techmarines, need another Land Raider, and 2 Whirlwinds and 2 Vindicators.

Unit of Dreadnoughts.

Squad of Venerable Dreadnoughts, plan to add a Deredeo to this unit, which kind of means I need 2 Contemptors as well...

2nd unit of Venerable Dreadnoughts, the black chaos dread is getting a re-paint to Deathwing colours and the old metal Ven is becoming my Warden in White.
Oh yes The Wardens in White

2 Deathwing Redemption Formations

Monthly Vow, Stretch(ing) Goal (Posts)

So as I'm moving my dates around which gives me few extra days to play around with. I need to find out how Telvig did in the Preston GW stores monthly contest. So I got everything I wanted to done this month, the Voidweavers where bumped when the DA Codex got released. I finished the new Death Jester

I'd like another one, that I'd cut the Shuriken Cannon off and add a Bright Lance to and use him as a gunner on one of the Raiders.

So the new DA Codex. First thought is okay, nice to get the toys at last.
Formations not that fusses really, rather narked that Deathwing and Ravenwing are Formations now, but did see that coming. No I don't think I'll be getting my Whirlwinds and Vindicaters to make those Formations, Preds I already have 3 to play with. When I slow down on the Eldar I might just pad out my air force not too sure. But the first thing I am doing is re-tasking Thunderchild. He's going to be one of my Wardens In White, with added seals, as only one of them gets let out to play at any one time, just need something to replace him with

Death Jesters Down Through The Years

I bought the new Desth Jester this month, which gave me the chance to do another retrospective post of Death Jesters, I do love these guys.

Of the 2 of theses I still prefer the older one, the plastic chap is rather fiddly to put together. The support arm is just fitted on the back in the place where it fitted best under that fringe.

Forge World Bulletin #66

The weekly update from Forge World has gone live and there is plenty of dakka on display, 2 Carapace Mounted Missile Pods for the Warlord Titan

Guess the Marine is there as a size reference. Also a nice scaling shot of the Titans in the display case as Warhammer World.

Mother Telvig

Rather than fork out for bus fare today, I've decided to pick my DA Codex up tomorrow as I'm working in Preston and can claim my travel expenses back from my work. So instead of that I have failed a spicy food challenge and painted Mother Telvig up.

Base coat of Ushabati Bone on Telvig and 2 Face for the Harlequins.

The hair had a base wash of Lamenters Yellow, then a dry brush of Evil Sunz Scarlet before another wash with Blood For The Blood God.

I then gave her a wash of Nihilakh Oxide.

The tree trunk and weapon arm both got a wash with sepia.

The truck got a brown dry brush, the Prism Rifle a Screaming Skull dry brush and the body got a White Scar dry brush.

The aim was to get her looking kind of ghostly and intimidating, just now need a squad of Shadow Spectors so I can take her as a HQ.

Mother Telvig

So the Wood Elf Spellweaver with Staff arrived yesterday morning, now, and I got straight on with her. First thing first was to get the Prism Cannon onto the staff and with a little bit of green stuff and 1 bit cut off I think it looks okay

I'm giving myself a +1 for making sure it was straight as well at this point I thought what else can I do so I dug out the Eldar bits again and got a skull mask and an assortment of blades to use, most DE Wytches swords or spare swords from the Harlequins I got off Facebook along with a sickle from a Wrack and a bilhook that I have no idea where it came from.

I played around with the mask a lot today, filing it out so it would fit better. My first thought was to have her at port arms and have the mask following the faces point of view.

As you can see I changed my mind and went for a more dynamic look, by shifting the mask around it now looks like she is sighting along the cannon

I added the Star Cannon containment flasks to act as a counter balance as that whole arm is actually magnetised for transport and storage.
