Last Dreads Of The Dread Filled Month

And to round off the month I had an easy day that consisted of painting over the green stuff on the malevolent dreads weapon mounts and before I went to bed putting astroganite and Martian dust on the bases. In the morning before I went to watch Shazam I gave all 6 bases an agrax earthshade wash. Once home the astroganite got a dawnstone dry brush and the Martian dust got an evil Sunz Scarlet dry brush.

Allurn Of Dale

And now Allurn of Dale, recruited from the eastern side of the Manx Hive into the Dusk Raiders Legion, interned into a dreadnought chassis just before the Dusk Raiders became the Death Guard, the type used was unique to the death guard with ablative armour. Over the eons of war Allurn has become less man and more dæmon engine, to the point of having teeth installed so he can feast on the flesh of those he has killed.

Abomination Class Worked On

I got all the dreads out today, will post photos up later in the week when I get the second Death Guard dread finished. When everything had been photographed I worked on the Abomination class dreads, making sure all weapons could be used on the majority of them, just the space Crusade missile launchers going on one meaning no magnets on those mounting points.
The Rifleman dread.
2 twin heavy bolters.
2 missile launchers.
2 twin las cannons.

I Might Be The Reason Why These Are Now So Expensive

The Boltstorm Aggressors that I've showcased this week are actually the 3rd lot of RT era Chucks that I've converted, the first lot became a squad of Deathwing Knights for my DA Successor Chapter , The Lion's Blades.
The next lot became the 2 short and 1 long legged versions on the bases with the bone ring, and now I have 2 squads of 3 I can run one squad of long legs and one squads of 3 short legs.
The chaos ones as I've bought are so I can get my pokemon masters badge.

Dreads Still A WIP

My eyes are shot, focal length is getting a bit long, so calling it a night early on the painting, might just do a wash of agrax earthshade on the green on the dread but I'm not doing the gold tonight.
I left the Calgar blue at home do still need a bit of work on the Aggressors and had forgotten the frag launchers totally so will get them done at home. So yes 4 of 6 boltstorm Aggressors for my home brew chapter The Emperor’s Loyal Hounds Of War, made using the RT marine dreads, Zinge Industries bendy ammo feeds and the boltstorm gauntlets & magazine from the Aggressors box. As I've now got 6 of these I have no desire to get anymore.

Coat Of White

Spent the night working up to the first coat of white on all 4 of these. My usual process of ushabati bone, nuln oil wash, screaming skull and then a first coat of white. Plan to get the blue on the Hounds shoulders and green and gold on the death guard dread. Also need to bring one of the orginal Aggressors with me to make sure that they match.

3 More Boltstorm Aggressors

I already have 3 of these that I built when 8th ed dropped, I joked about getting enough to make a full squad of 6, well I was told of 3 old chucks for £45 and alcohol and stupidity played a part and I ended up owning them, after the seller tried jacking up the price after it was agreed upon, an order to Zinge Industries for the flexible ammo feeds and Element Games for the Aggressors and I was ready to go.
I've left the bolt guns on the hands of one and mounted the magazines differently as a way to tell the Sgt apart from the rest of the squad if I run them as a full squad.
Now I'm waiting for the green stuff to cure and will mount the feeds at a later time.
