Venerable Björn The Fell Handed

The latest Björn to have slide into the m41 through the Warp Rift, that inquisitor in the blue box and Cronos agents Sapphire and Steel are enjoying route to sort this out. I'm thinking of maybe swooping the legs on the hull is rather heavy and those ankles are prone to braking and u do drop things, but if I do that it'll need some elevation to give it the same gravitas.

Easy day hobby wise, green stuff on the ankle joints , and a claw for the Venerable Björn, unless someone has a spare set of the actual claws going spare?

And based the Blackreach dread as well as giving it the las cannons with missile launchers, had to green stuff the magnet in the metal arm so not willing to try and get a photo of that fitted for a couple of hours.

Also based Timberwolf the Seige Dreadnought.

And last bit, the full Mortis Casterferrum Talon, with 2 rifleman dreads and the las cannons with missile launchers.

Legio Recruitment Fleet 1

And here it is, the full 18 dreadnought Legio Recruitment Fleet 1, although each Legion had recruited massively from their adopted home world the stresses of the galactic Crusade put pressure on even that system the Emperor instituted the Recruitment Fleet, with a small force from each Legion used to gather aspirarents from Complaint World's. This force is from the brief window between the loss of the 2nd and 11th Legions and the beginning of the Horus Heresy. Okay background sorted I've already got plans for altering this army a little for Armies On Parade next year, need to add captains and officers from each Legion, the Night Lords dread is getting scrapped and changed totally to one with 2 fists, an assault cannon on each arm, the Zinge Industries bendy ammo feeds and a couple of heavy bolter ammo packs as well. The Iron Hands dread has a couple of bits already in place to upgrade it, I'm looking to add a las cannons mortis to the Imperial Fist dread and possibly the Death Guard dread. The Imperial Objectives from Conquest has a couple of bits I can use with the table and the medical nightmare and I'm thinking of adding a box of the Sisters Of Silence for those potentially psychic recruits.

The Legion Dreadnought Army

Just got a quick one of the 18 Legion dreadnoughts, better photos will be landing over the weekend, I've already got plans to redo the Night Lords dread and the Iron Hands has some bits on it for changes, there's a plan to rework the Imperial Fist dread into a Mortis pattern.

Next Step On The Björn Venerable.

Doesn't look like I got much done on this but it's mostly green stuff on the side plates and the skull has been green stuffed in place.

Alpha Legion Dreadnought

Okay that is an improvement over the first attempt, not sure if that gryph charger grey was needed on this though. Free hand on the Alpha omega, hydra and XX, just remember I wouldn't have even tried it without the glasses. I definitely need more experience with contrast before I can make a choice but this worked well, and I'd certainly use them again to paint up any more alpha Legion I'm doing for next year's planned Armies on Parade.

The Warp Rift Has Reopened

It really does not look like I've done much tonight but I've spent ages filing that lump of lead down so that those angled plates actually fit nicely on the orginal front, I've also had to file into the skull and senor bundle so the plate fits and sits comfortably, looking closely at them they both seem to a nice fit. First thing tomorrow I'll green stuff them onto front so that any gaps behind can be filled at the same time as they are fitted.

Not sure if I'm going to put the wolf skull over the small skull or on the helmet, but after looking at both I'm thinking of doing it on the helmet, as long as I don't lose this one.
