Assault Intercessors Number 6

 Had a nice easy day yesterday with the Assault Intercessor, around cooking a jambalaya for tea.

Just leaves the kheres assault cannon arm to finish on Friday along with the Monthly Vow post. 

Bits Left

With a few days until the 12th, I'm taking things easy and starting the wind down and tidy up for Christmas.

I've got 2 days free before that so plan A is to finish the Assault Intercessor from Imperium. I found and then lost the missing knee pad, but several things happened yesterday while digging for some bits to pass on to a guy working on a close combat Redemptor project, I found a plague barer skull and with some delicate green stuff work I used the skull as a replacement knee pad. Plan is to get this painted Wednesday and finished Friday. I also fitted the barrel assembly from a Kheres assault cannon onto a Venerable Dreadnought assault cannon arm. The plan is paint this Friday. Then it's onto November to December, which has only 1 major objective to get done which is the Space Wolf Reaver psyker hunting squad, just need to remember where I put the pre Magnus Thousand Sons colours guide I made myself... 

 

The Executioner

 Polished this one off today, bar the oxide wash to the base, as well as starting the replacement for the Scarcrow / Deceiver, which I don't have a photo of yet as it's hugely rough. 

I am tempted to get another box of these and have a look at the Star Players and see if there are a few I could replace. 

Wyld Ones Shadow Seer

 Only a tiny bit on this needed doing which was the grenade launcher on the back.

The last of the Harlequins left to do is this one for the Lords Of Old Troupe, which is white and purples. 

The Wyld One Replacements

 Polished off the last 2 of the replacements for the Harlequins today, in the first photo

All 4 of the of the replacements finished this time.

And the whole Troupe and with Shadow Seer for my Harlequins army.

So spent a few a days doing these, here's a few more of the process 

The Stalker and The Dancer

 Finished the first 2 of the replacements for the Wyld Ones yesterday with the Stalker and The Dancer.

I don't know why, but I feel this could have come out better, I'm close to seeing if I can find this guy on ebay and trying again. I can't define what it is though I just think I've missed what I was aiming for.

But this one has definitely overtaken it with how it has come out. Again I can't pin it down but I'm happier with this one than the one that was the reason why I bought the box in the first place. 

October 23rd Trip To Warhammer World

 The trip down to Nottingham was a long time coming, and the 3 of us that made it had a great time, photos are going to be focused on the game, the teams from the Blood Bowl tournament that was on on Saturday and of course The Rhino Photo.

My mates Legion of the Damned army looked rather at home on the River of Souls table, got to say the river itself was a handy dice tray. 

The game was 2, 2000 points of Marines, my Lion's Blades 2nd Company and the Legion of the Damned against 4000 points of Necrons run by 1 guy who played a blinder.

It was so, so close 57 to 59 vp's with the Marines scraping a win when we called it at turn 4.

After going back and deleting a few photos from the 150ish I'd taken on the day I'm adding some from the display halls. 

He did end up with a friend. 

I hadn't seen this one before, and the pics don't do justice to how big the Ossiarch Bone Reapers display is.
