Mk4s

Having 2 of these is handy as I can swop them over as needed, the BaC Captain will be, when finished, armed with plasma pistol and The Mace Of Redemption, the Destroyer is a dual pistol gun slinger.
The BaC is a WIP still.

Productive Night.

Was looking to get some stuff done last night and got a few bits done.

I started the Paladin with plenty of dry brushing, Kharak stone, ushabati bone, screaming skull then white scar lastly was some purple.

I finally found a purpose for the Pirate Ladies from Black Scorpion, I'm making them my Howling Banshees.

The Waywatcher is going into the Rangers unit.

And I then made a start on the mk4 marker, wish I hadn't glued the cape on, I would have got the finish I wanted on the inside that way.

I gave the outside a base coat of ushabati bone then a nuln oil wash then dry brushed with screaming skull, then white skull.

The plume got the same treatment as the inside of the cloak, a base of Khorne red, dry brush of wazdakka and a dry brush with scarlet, before getting the armour painted black.

Easter Day.

Easter Sunday dawns and before the sugar rush kicks in I tried my hand at free hand painting, I did the 6 objective markers for the Exodites

I used Ogham script rather than the Eldar Runes to show a divergent path taken by Telvigs people.

I did some practice pieces first of course.

The source piece.
I also made a start on the Paladin

Base coated and washed for now.
And fixed up the last of the chop shop Skyweavers by painting the haywire cannon and re glueing the rider.

So that's 1 Masque finished, only 3 more to go...

Daily Grind

4 days and 4 13 hour shifts = tired also not much time to do stuff.
Yesterday as I was working I did something I don't normally do and took some hobby stuff in to work to get primed.

I primed the Paladin for the Harlequins and the mk4 BaC Captain. Hopefully I'll be able to get some paint on them soon.
I've also won 3 more bikes on Ebay so that'll be 3 full squads now, and a plan for my next month: I'm going to re-paint my Ravenwing so that they squads match, assess my Terminators and scrap the scratch builds that don't make the grade and get the 3 objectives markers I'm currently looking at buying painted.

And They Call It Puppy Love

Cry Havoc yeah right.
CRY HAVOC…

This week I stepped into the Forge World Studio and saw something that answers a question that’s we’ve been asked time and time again – When will there be upgrades for all eighteen Legions?

It’s been a long road but we’re almost there, because the answer is – Very soon!

That’s right, upgrades for the Sons of Russ, the VIth Legion, the Space Wolves aren’t far away. Keep a look out for a Forge World newsletter announcing their release soon.

If that’s not enough for all of you Fenrisians, I hear some old favourites will be coming back to the Forge World web store too. The Space Wolf Terminator Upgrade set has been missing in action for quite some time, but it’ll be making a reappearance just as soon as we can make enough to satisfy all of you aspiring Wolf Lords.

That’s all from me for now. Make sure you check back soon for more from the Forge World Studio.

How Choose Your Legion, By Forge World

FW posted a nice little flow chart up on their Facebook page the other day, with only a couple of issues on it, red World Eaters Pre Terra and not black Dark Angels aside it's meant to be fun.

And they did respond to a lot of comments about DA not being black

Which does give me hope about getting some new sculpted, resin robed DA in the future.
I also took a pic of the Mission Dreadnought Space Crusade mission book that classifies the various types of Chaos Dreadnought you can build, seeing as Forge have adapted the heavy weapons as the new underslung range could we see a proper varient of this oldhammer main stay?

Objective Markers For The Exodites

Over the couple of weeks I'be been keeping an eye out for stones, I even had a look around my favourite bit of town for a couple, to make some objective markers for the Exodites.

Mostly slate found round and about washed and green stuffed to the base.

Left them to cure over night will try and get some paint on the tomorrow.

Monthly Vow 12/2 to 12/3/16. The Dread Filled Month

For once I was ambitions and successful! Everything I'd planned to get done, got done.

Start point, Black Shield, Death Company Dread and the Space Crusade Dreads.

Black Shield for The Knights Of Blood

The Death Company dread which was on pause after this.

And these guys got black on their shoulder paldrons.

I added a shield from the Furioso kit to the legs on these 2, and re names the Chaplin Dread Sephiroth and the metal venerable is now The Eternal Guard.

This is the Paladin I'm going to swop for one of the Nobility Of Old Troupe, while I waited for the Bjórn kit to land.

When that arrived I made a start on Timberwolf, changing his weapon arms around and giving him twin linked heavy flamers on one arm and a flamer on the other.

Also got the Murder Fang claws on this Death Company dread.

And built the Bjórn with the Furioso case front, I hadn't taken the gun arm with me that night, so had to use the Frag cannon.

And got them finished off.

And got this guy painted up, I had orginally planned to add a sword to the front of this but I was pursued to go with the shield instead

Which does look better and hides that rather large blood drop.

I also got the last rider built and painted up for my chop shop Skyweavers and got 9 of 10 Death Jesters painted up for my counts as Shadow Spectors squad.

Both Grandfather Telvig and Grandmother, The Lady Aave got their correct base.

And then I started on my last bit, 3 Spirit Warriors that I'll be using as counts as War Walkers.

And here they are, The Wardens of the North, The White Walkers.

So next month, where do I go after getting all of those half arsed efforts into 1 month?
I've got a plan, I'm buying another of the new Jesters for the Shadow Spectors to finish them off, I'm keeping an eye on Space Marine bikes on Ebay this month, 3 more and I have 3 full squads, then I'll be looking at buying Land Speeders..., I'm also keeping an eye on old metal Wraith Lords as I want 1 more so I can make another squad of Spirit Walkers, I'm also planning on buying some of that mold making blue stuff and I plan on trying making green stuff casts of the Ghost Warrior I have and use them as my Storm Guardians, so if I get good results I'll be knocking out 33 of them. I also plan to start at least one of the gorram Vorax next month.

The Spirit Walkers, Wardens of the North, The White Walkers

Finished off the Spirit Walkers for Telvig,

These are the 3 I have already with the bits to do another 3 apart from weapons apart from heads.

I had this one modeled with the arm and gun mount, there is a magnet in the mount to swop the guns around if needs be.

2 arms with magnets underneath.

And double weapons on the shoulders.

Painted and added red eye lenses to all 3.

I even did the last base as well.

I have added a dry brush on this one since I took this photo.
