Monthly Vow, The 12th Of November To The 12th Of December

Plan A it's the Firestorm Aggressors this week in Conquest. . . Yep I'm after 4 copies, one to pass onto an agreed buyer and 3 for me, one lot is to round out the Hounds Aggressors to 6 and 6 for the Lion's Blades. After that it's the Death Guard character, now I've actually developed a plan for what I'm keeping from the DG side of this, and I'm going with early heresy colours of white and green, will plan to buy some of that technical typhon corrosion this week, either Wednesday or when I'm down in Manchester on Sunday with my youngest to watch Crimes Of Grindlewald.
The Knight Commander needs finishing and I've got the Harry Potter stuff to start that seems to have slid from this month's agenda, in my defence I did work 255 and a half hours last month, which is only 4.5 hours off being 100 hours over my contracted hours, which left me rather burned out, but with a decent wedge to get Christmas shopping finished in the black Friday sales.

Review Time

Started off with Titans. It's been so long I forget which ones I did this month from the heavy maniple. I know I got Apocalypsis Irregulares done and I think the 2 Reavors as well. . .

Not 40k but a damn lucky find, the alternate future Enterprise D with the Phase Lance mounted under the saucer section, I found this on eBay which was lucky as this version was a subscription only model. It was added to the fleet of Enterprise C, Akira class Thunderchild and The Ghost.  Now just need a Serenity model to round this out.

And back in the room with Reavor 3 for the Venitor light maniple and the 4 Warhounds.

Then it was the Conquest Lieutenant who in the force he's running in is getting a promotion to Captain Sicarus stand in.

Then the subscription landed, I had no plan for the little tank until today, so that's going in next month maybe, and the Librarian got painted for the Lion's Blades.

I ordered some more Inceptors to give me 2 full squads of 6 for The Hounds when those land.

And lastly my Baron arrived and I was able to make a start on it. I picked up the box I'd ordered today so will hopefully get the bits I want fitted,  cannons only rough if the magnets haven't landed yet , and see how it looks.

Inceptors

After the lists last month of what's incoming with Conquest I jumped in early and bought 3 of the Inceptors from the Space Wolf new box, to paint up for The Emperor’s Loyal Hounds Of War.
Usual base coat of ushabati bone, nuln oil wash, then screaming skull then white scar over the top. I got up to the screaming skull done last night, tonight I got 2 coats of the white on and added all the spot colours, I'll do the plasma guns another night but I seriously don't think I will use them at all.

Knight Commander Base

The vast majority of the night was spent on the Inceptors but I did also focus  on the base for mini knight. I missed the post man in the morning so the banner of Knights is at the depot so I'm leaving that till next month now, with the cannons and the exhaust stack to be fitted.
I just painted the green stuff red then added the Martian dust over the top, when dry it got an Agrax earthshade wash and then a dry brush with wild rider red, I also gave the Warlord shoulder plate a wash with the agrax and a dry brush with the wild rider red.

Knight Commander

The Tartarus plates arrived yesterday, and I mocked up the shoulders to see how they are going to look.
I've ordered another box of Knights and some magnets so I can swop out the guns and have a leader unit that will stand out from the rest of the Banners.
And of course some power shoulder pads that inspired this simple conversion.

Conquest Librarian

The Conquest Librarian is actually a nicer build than the orginal version of the same mini that had serious issues with the legs. This one went together much nicer.
Forgot some paperwork that needs finishing,  so stopped painting early.
Messed up the off hand slightly but overall it's okay, need to finish the chest off.
Leaving those extra pipes off as well after the first one I built they broke off.

Not The Plan

Decidedly not what I had planned to do tonight, especially as my client has slept liked a good un, and I could have got lots painted.  Filing out the resin in the pads and lead on the shoulders took a good few hours to get a nice fit on both shoulders. I need to put the blue guy in an acitone bath when I get home in the morning to clean it up before I get some paint on it.
I also started the Librarian as well, mostly just glued the robe chest pieces together and then the legs in place. I don't know if something has been changed with the blue plastic guy and the orginal grey plastic one but this blue plastic one fits together much better than the old grey plastic one did.

Librarian And Inceptors

The package from Hatchet arrived on Saturday but I was to busy recovering from last month at work that I was asleep when the postman knocked. A mooch up to the depot on Sunday was in order.
More Pox walkers,  the tank is already sold, the washes are put aside for later use and the Librarian has been primed for painting this week.
I also purchased 3 Inceptors to add to the 3 from the Conquest magazine when they arrive,  which will give me 2 squads of 6, the first 3 will be painted this week at some point.
Next up from Conquest that I'm painting are the Firestorm Aggressors, hopefully I can get 9 of them, to give me 6 for The Lion's Blades and 3 to add to the squad I've already got in the Hounds.
