Some Painting!

Shock horror, I'very actually gone and painted something this month.


About the only time a flash is useful when painting a mini; showing where you need to touch up.

2nd Fire Dragon Exarch with pike, I just based coated this and will let it slide till next month I think.



And got the second fist started, the force sovnya can slide in and out of that fist, and will paint them tonight.

5 (Ha) More Fire Dragons

As a reward for getting through the water crisis I treated myself to the above, I'll add these to the others in my Exodite Army. Depending on how far off these are from my others I'll strip them or just crack on and fudge them up so it's a close enough match colour wise.
These might get bumped to next month along with the Exarch.

Back Into Action

Finally got my water reconnected on Thursday, 14 days buying bottles of water and lugging them home, so deep clean the kitchen Friday and back to painting on Saturday day and an evening out with mates Saturday night, was supposed to be watching Assassin's Creed but the times don't gel with when we can all get out.

After checking my bank I've bought a few things a Mk1 Baal Predator for the Knights of Blood

A Fire Dragon Exarch with the Pike for the Exodites.

And a veteran with Lightening Claws that I'll be taking the arms off for the Cypher Chosen Formation.

Monthly Vow 12th of January to 12th of February

Well good ish news is I've managed to limit the hole in my budget to December, but I need to check my money before I commit to buying stuff. At least I'm looking at a Predator for The Knights of Blood and getting the squads of Veterans for the Chosen Formation at least made. Minor issue my game group has had is that the trip down to Warhammer World has had to be bumped from February to March and I'll see how much I have saved up for the as I'm planning on getting the Vindicator, Whirlwind and see if there's enough left over for the Possessed Contemptor.
So on to the review for December.



The old and the new Company Masters, both of these will leas a squad of Chosen.

As will this guy.

And 2 Bolter Marines for The Lion's Blades Devastater Squads.

And the 3 squads currently looking for a right hand lightening claw as well and lots of plasma guns.

Big Problems

Yes I've not touched anything this week, mostly because I've not had running water since Saturday, so rather focused on my utilities company, and why the basic lead replacement job that was logged in summer last year has taken soon long to start and has ended the Chop Shop out of water.

Company Master 3 And 2 Bolter Marines

Not finished the company master and still down 1 power pack,

I did the robe in ushabati bone

And while I was using the sepia on the feathers I knocked the gorram pot over.
The bolters got the chapter badge and squad markings done, just need to get a pack out today.

1/1/17 New Years Day Review

Time to review what I haven't done this year, and I'll start with the Harlequins

Which I totally failed to do anything on. Still need Skyweavers and Voidweavers to fill out those Masques. I'm sort of thinking that with the Death Masque box out I ll be able to pick up both weavers fairly cheap.

The Chaos Dreadnoughts Family Tree is possibly going to get a possessed Contemptor to finish it off.

The Exodites of Telvig are just missing the support weapons and maybe a Wraith Knight with Wraith Blades and Guards.

The Knights of Blood are missing 3 tactical squads to make them up to a battle company , then the Marine Codex and both the BA suppliment to see what formations I can make, might also pick up another Predator to fill out a squadron of them.

Hopefully the Shadow 72nd Highlanders will get some work done on them and some serious reinforcement incoming.

The Cypher Chosen Formation I'm currently working , a few need arms and guns sorting and it will not be WYSIWYG.

The full Lion's Blades 3rd Company, well I say full I've found out I'm 2 bolter marines short on the dev squads which are getting painted soon.

Beyond those 2 and a single missile launcher marine for choice this army is actually finished

The 1st Company, well I need 10 storm bolter Terminators to make them up to 50 then I'll start thinking of Assault Terminators for the next 50, I can see this sliding into 2018 to be honest


The 2nd Company, rare to hear this I know, but I'm happy with just 3 attack squadrons, I may get some Black Knights and a few Land Speeders to fill out the support squadron.

And lastly the tanks, still after a Whirlwind and a Vindicator to finish off those 2 Hammer Of Caliban formations, I'm still looking at getting 2 more flyers to get a Silence squadron although to be honest, I have a feeling that this might just slip to 2018 as well.
