Forge World Blog 8

A complete rip of this weeks Forge World post as I'm able to get to a pc!
With the Forge World Open Day only a few weeks away, the Forge World Studio is a hive of activity. There are going to be so many cool new models to buy at the event, I hardly know which to tell you about first! Each of them will also be available to order in the weeks and months following the Open Day. So far I know that a mighty warrior from the Horus Heresy will be unveiled and a new Mechanicum vehicle will roll out of the Forge World manufactorum. I've also seen some more brand new Realm of Battle Industrial boards and caught sight of what Phil Stutcinskas has been busy working away on – a mightily impressive behemoth in the form of a new super-heavy Space Marine tank.
There’ll be more details on the Forge World Open Day in upcoming blogs and newsletters, so stay tuned.
After all this excitement, I calmed myself down by taking a wander through the Forge World Studio to look at what everyone has been working on for their own hobby. Mark Bedford, who has been responsible for creating many amazing models, from the Myrmidon Destructors to the Legion Champion and Master of Signal, has been working on a Legion of his own, those born of fire and remade on the anvil of war, the Salamanders.
As you can see, Mark enjoys the challenge of converting his models. The MkIII Space Marines armed with volkite calivers above are led by a Techmarine that started out as an Iron Hands Medusan Immortal. The model gained a conversion beamer that was originally part of Valthex of the Astral Claws, a power axe from the MkIII Power Weapons set and a volkite charger among other parts. Mark also added a flame insignia to the Techmarine’s armour using Green Stuff. If you’ve converted models using Forge World components, why not send us some photos of them via our Facebook page. That’s all from me for now. Make sure you check back soon for more from the Forge World Studio. Chris.
