Here's my second posting...
The Games Workshop have totally re-done the Deamon hunters Codex and are releasing it this weekend. Now from what I can gather they have completely revamped the army list. Which kind of leaves me with a problem as I have a small Deamon Hunters force, 2 HQ's (1 Inquisitor, 1 Grand Master with Body Guard of Terminators), 2 Troops (made up of Dark Angel Veterans) and 2 Fast Attack Teleporters (made up form Chaos Marines and Khorne Berzerkers). Now with this new Codex my army is obsolete and I'm thinking of breaking it up and using it again, the Dark Angel Vets will go to make Assault Marines/ Raptors and 5 Sargeants or some Vanguard Vets thereby freeing up 25 models, as I have a spare 5 DA Vets knocking abou,t and the 20 Teleport Troopers give me another 20 models to play around with plus and couple of spares the I'll get from dropping the Imperial Elements from my mian army, the Chaplin, the Librarians, the Medic. Which means I can have 2 basic army lists, one for the Iron Warriors and one for the Knights of Blood supporting elements to my army. But if I do do this I loose an option army that I really liked the idea of of and enjoyed making as every modle was a conversion in one way or another

Shiny!
This post should of been up yesterday, but I had an emergency phone call at 3pm and had to get to the bank double quick to sort out my friends bank and then it's time for tea and all that.

As has been discussed I'm working on a Renegade Army right now with Android support, well I was in town the other day walking past a Charity shop when I saw some 28mm metal robots I thought they look cool, lets have a closer look. Went into the shop and it turns out they are Rouge Trader era Necron Warriors, £5 lighter I walk out of the shop with them in a bag. Didn't tell the woman in the shop that the models in question are probably worth far more than that. Above you can see the 3 models in the range, I've turned one round so as to show the light blue wash I've done on the spine to denote the power supply. And with some judicious ebaying I've picked up 10 of the Space Crusade plastic Androids for a total of £4 and when is all said and I'll have 2 squads of 10 Chaos Androids, lead by Techmarines, armed with 2 melta guns.
Next step for this army is going to be the Troops, Elites, Tanks and Bikes which are going to cost money. Ebay here I come.

Not Excatly Plan A
Seems I'm having to change my plan for my Lost and Damned army as the Codex I was taking it from is no longer a game legal book. Thankfully I now have the updated list taken from Imperial Armoury Book, and with a little bit of a re jig this army is still a goer.
Basic Change is it's now, at it's core, a Renegade Imperial Guard Regiment (Mechanicus Skitarii in this case), so with that in mind I've shifted the 3 made models around, the Titan Tech Priest is now the main HQ choice, the Iron Father and the self made Tech Priest model will be leading a squad of Androids each in an allied role to the main troops choices.
Fast Attack options are going to be Sentinels the Android Attack Bikes, when made, and either a Hellhound or pay for a squadron of the Salamander Scout tanks from Forge World.
My Heavy Support is limited to 1 tank, 1 artillery piece and a Heavy Weapon Company. So I'm taking a Leman Russ Vanquisher and a Hydra Flak Tank with a some heavy weapons teams as well.
Elites will be fun, I get to convert a few Ogres to make them 40K, plan will be to get a box of Ironguts and play around with them to see what I can get and maybe a Maneater as well to top them off. As well as this unit I'm taking the an elite squad of Guards and putting them in an APC with one of the Enforcers attached to the squad to give them some heavy hitting close combat power. And lastly I'm adding my Android Terminators as allied elites, in the army list it gives you the option of having a Marine squad as elites, but I prefer the allies and taking them where they should be.
The Enforcers I've mentioned will most likely be made out of Space Marine Scouts as they come with the option of buying them Carapace Armour, and 5 of those is cheaper than 5 Commissars will be, or Arbitras for that matter.
And the troops choice is going to be a mix of Catachan Jungle Fighters, Zombie and Skeletons to represent the mechanised nature of the troops. Plan is to have one combined platoon with heavy weapons and to sit them on any objective I have in my deployment zone and 3 Armoured Fist Squads to zip forward, and with the elite unit, capture any that I can, I may just add a heavy weapon or 2 to these squads, I'll have to play with them first and see how well this army woks in it's natural state

Gaden and Plans
Hi there long time no update, but as I'd finished my tank I took some time off, got a girlfriend and a job and now I find myself with some time on my hands again as both seem to have gone now.
So back to the project work. Well as the tank has been finished and put out there to play I've gone onto other things. Photos will be arriving over time as I work out the best way to get them off Face book that is.
My army for Warhammer 40,000 started out as a Loyalish Marines, but I've since fallen down a dark path and have added more and more Chaos additions to it and now have a much larger Chaos army than loyalist, which is good as with Chaos you get more choice. The Core army is still the same but I've added some Chaos flavour to it with the addition of some Thousand Sons, some Khorne Berzerkers and some Nurgul Havoc's. The Slaanesh are (will be when they are bought and made) my Chaos Terminators with the heads of some Dark Eldar Wyches and one squad of Chosen made from the Dark Eldar Wyches box set. I will be adding more of the Slannesh Force to my army over time as I'm making them from a corrupted Sisters of Battle Order, as I like that idea. But right now finances dictate that buying an all metal army is way way out of my price range. Fingers crossed by the time I get round to this part of my army The Games Workshop will have done plastic Sisters of Battle and this good idea will be made.
But onto what my next project will be. With the Ascension of the Leader of the Army to a Daemon Prince I've added a new Unified Chaos Lord to my Army who was leading his own army into exile in the Eye Of Terror. This is my Dark Mechanicus Lord Hudson Gaden with his appreniti and his Mechanicus Sketarri Legion Troops and, the reason he was kicked out of the Imperium, his Androids.
For this army I've already built and painted Gaden who came from the Games Workshops Bloodbowl range, as a base it's an Undead Wraith, I've added blades to one hand to give him Lightning Claws added a 3rd arm and attached a twin linked bolter to that and have shoulder mounted a plasma pistol. The great thing about a Chaos Lord is that this is legal!
Now here's the fun bit I've got a copy of The Eye Of Terror Codex from way back when and in this is a Chaos traitor army which is what Hudson Gadens army will be. As this army's HQ I've already bought and built 3 Tech Priests types. One is an almost standard Space Wolf Iron Priest, all I've done with that model is to cut the hammer that it comes with and replace it with an axe head( this guy will also be used in my loyalish Space Marine as a standard Tech Marine) He will go by the name of Jervis Babbage. Next is Jellet 'Clamps' Arrol which is the Forge World Titan Tech Priest, an expensive and finely detailed model that i feel my paint job just hasn't done justice to, but I can always go back and do it again, and it's Clamps as his tool arms come with 2 options, clamp heads or a tool head and as we'd just been watching Futurama's Into The Wild Green Yonder which does feature The Robot Mafia and Clamps I just couldn't resist it. Lastly of the 3 is Massey Jubah and head of this Army when Gaden is not around. I've made this model myself from various bits scavved from the Coppull and Chorley Knights bits box, legs and body come from a Space Marine Scout, the head is from a Tau Fire Warrior, the arms are from a Terminator and the back pack is from a Tech Priest. One arm has a twin linked bolter and the other was once a power fist that I hacked up for bits a while ago, I've glued a Dark Eldar pistol to the hand and a flamer nozzle and flamer tank to it as well to represent a cutting and a welding torch on the back pack is a double bladed Chainsword that I'm using as a Daemon weapon and I'm also classing him as wearing Terminator armour.
The rank and file troops will be made from the Catachan box set of Imperial Guard models with the addition of some skeleton bits to convey a Mechanised Infantry feel (no pun intended) with maybe one 10 man squad made up of Skeletons with Lasguns. To add to this I'm either going to find some more of the old Space Crusade Chaos Androids and use those or get a box of Necrons and give them bolters to add some Marine level firepower.
The Fast Attack Section of this army is a mish mash, I'm looking for some dogs to use as attack hounds. I'm also making some attack bikes based on the bike terminators from the film Terminator Salvation, looking forward to that project. Lastly there is a full squad of troops mounted in an APC for this squad I'm thinking of spending the extra and getting a Forge World unit as they are very cool model from there.
For the Elites I'm looking for some bionics that are Terminator sized (currently I'm using the Mega Blocs UNSC models) and I'm going to spend some cash and get some fo the Necromunder Pit Fighters to represent some Big Mutants, or maybe some Ogryns... can't make my mind up and price may play a part in this.
The Heavy Support next, I might just get a Defiler at last and and build that in the colours of this army as well as 2 Leman Russ tanks or I might splurge out on a couple of Malcadors from Forge World, to show his ,former, connections.
So there we have it photos for the done stuff will be up shortly and the other stuff will be posted as and when I get it done.
Hope you enjoy reading about this next project as much as I will making it.

Half A Job Harris Rides Again!
You may of noticed that I've slowed down on the postings here, to be honest, that's because I have finished the project and haven't thought to update here. Half A Job Harris rides again! And here it is in ,almost, all it's glory!
So the tank is finished at last, painted up and has been used in battle and looks great, no negative comments, just jokes about over compensating for something...I do have another picture on my phone at the moment showing the size difference between the Poxy Proxy Predator and the real sized thing and will do the technomancy required to get it up. So on to my next project, not sure what that will be yet, have to log on again sometime to let you know! I took my time i know but here it is, Poxy Proxy Banesword next to a Rhino APC.

Size really does matter.
Well today I'm filling some time while sorting out my re-education.
So I've mentioned size being an issue with the Poxy Proxy Predator, and said I'll bring this up later, well now is as good a time as any.
As I said the Land Raider is the biggest tank you can buy that's made by Games Workshop, and it is rather large, but not as big as mine. We found this out the other week at the Coppull and Chorley Knights, the game club I attend, when I fielded my Tank against a Deathwing Army with 2 Land Raiders. My tank was a little bit larger than the Land Raiders. This did lead to some barracking about how mine's bigger than yours, even if it is by accident.(On the plus of thi
s argument is that my army, The XIX Chapter, now has a great centre piece to from around and with a bit of tweaking I can use some in game rules that apply to one of the Space Wolves Dreadnoughts to represent what the Predator means to the Chapter.) But overall everyone seemed to like my efforts so far, at the game I'd actually painted it black and bleached bone, the colours of my army, and even the none gaming friends that saw it said that it looked a hell of a lot better just for that simple coat of paint.

Since this was taken the tank commander has been removed from the model as it didn't go with the look I was after, and the turret itself is now moved slightly backwards from this position, but as it's held on by blu tac, that is only a minor detail. Also the side weapon mounts have been drilled out and with the addition of some more Lego & grey stuff now sit level with detailing on the track mud guards.
