More Progress

I started with some colour last night, getting the orange on one and the red on the plastic

Before giving everything a big nuln oil wash, boy do I need to buy the big pot of that next time...

I then dry brushed the plastic Death Company dreadnought with scarlet to get it to where the others are colour wise.

The old metal Furioso dread was also dry brushed with orange and Kharak stone and the shoulders were painted up as normal with opposite colours.

I then painted black inside to show the step away from the old chapter till the honour debt is paid.

I also dry brushed the 2 Space Crusade Dreads with screaming skull and added red detailing on them as well, chapter badge on one side and XIX on the other.
Plan A for these points allowing is to have one of the long legged, 4 mount versions supported by 2 of the short leg versions; when I do get a Deredo I plan to have both 4 weapon mount bodies on short legs and buy some more autocannons and plasma cannons and call them counts as Eddies.

Progress

Made a start on my Dread force last night.

These are what I had with me, plastic Furioso, metal Furioso, and 2 plastic Space Crusade Dreads and 3 sets of legs oddly.

I base coated in black as I wasn't sure which way to go with it, 9th Company or bone for the 1st Company after a quick poll on the Facebook DA group I'm going bone with it. The second image is the one I already have painted, while at this stage I also fitted it with magnets for the guns.

I also did everything else black as well, apart from the old metal Furioso which had a base of Kharak stone

I left them to dry, had some left over stir fry and later went back to them all to give them an ushabati bone dry brush.
When I get round to them tonight I'll give everything a nuln oil wash before I get the Space Crusade any further, but before I do that I have to give the metal Furioso a half coat of orange and the plastic a base coat of mechanicum red.

Excuses, Excuses, Excuses.

I'm 2 days in and already feel like I'm behind schedule! I've ordered Bjórn again but the supplier is currently out of stock so he'll land sometime from the middle of next week.

So that's 1.5 dreads delayed while I'm waiting.
Last night I pulled out the box of XIX Order Dreadnoughts to see what's what with them and have taken one out to re-paint for the
black shields Glorious 1000 that are hiding in my Knights Of Blood, repaying an honour debt to the Knights of Blood after they gave the Glorious 1000 a ship to get their Gene Seed to earth, this is the orginal metal Furioso Dreadnought, plan A is to give it a second melta gun and call that a twin linked heavy flamer.

And there is also the next Death Company dreadnought in bits, waiting for those Murder Fang claws, but I can at least get this built and painted now.
I will pack the 2 Space Crusade Dreads later so I can get the magnets on them and green stuff.

I've also got the other 2 bodies packed as well to match colours and magnets, and to get opinions on if I should keep the 4 armed version bone or paint it black.

Monthly Vow 14th of January the 12th of Feburary

Nearly did it this month!

The last 3 for the Masque Of The Breaking Dawn.

And the chop shop Skyweavers, 1 left and I have my first full Masque.

The Spartan had the weapons finished, I need to get my big box of tanks out and put it safely away for now and move my Terminators out of there as well.

Managed a big game down at Warhammer World.

Still wouldn't argue with Bugman's Bouncer.

Lucky find on ebay gave me a monthly task namely the Dread Filled Month.

Finished the riders on the Skyweavers

And touched up the Nobility of Old Troupe

As well as naming and getting finished Grandmother, The Lady Aave, Wraith Seer and Consort Queen of Telvig.

I even tried something new...
And my last of the month as I wasn't going to get the War Walker finished,

Were these 2.
So next month is lots of Dreads. Here's hoping I can get close to my target...

Lady Aave

Tried some snow powder yesterday, need to work on my ratios...

The leg was green stuffed to hide the joins and painted.

And here she is finished, Grandmother, The Lady Aave.
Apart from the base I'm happy with how she looks, and as she isn't glued I can swop bases around gill I get the look right.

More Work On Lady Aave

Had a bit of extra work done on Lady Aave, I had an insomnia attack the other night so dug out the tree man kit and looked for bits that best fitted on the left leg, I  found 2 that went okay with a bit of work, I now need to add some green stuff to get it look a bit more natural. I also gave a touch of light brown dry brush to various bits and put some green on the leaves. Will be doing some more on The Lady tomorrow green stuffing the tree bits on the legs and painting. Would it be cheating to stick her in my Dread Filled Month?
