I truly believe that there are times I shouldn't be allowed my bank card, usually while reading a new codex...
So plans have developed, while reading said book, for my last 3 Troupes;
The Great Pretender is getting an upgrade to Yvraine, better get looking at other Freddie outfits for this Troupe.
The Visarch will be going into the Incubi Mimes Troupe and I might add some red to the Mimes to get them to match.
I'm planning to move the Heroic Dead Troupe into this masque, I'm not planning on using the Avatar of Ynnead in this. Currently.
To clear things up, the ghostly looking squad are the Heroic Dead Troupe, they may or may not represent those gone before and are in the infinity circuit or those who's souls have been pledged to Yeannd.
And the Silent Guard, loyal guards of the Great Pretender, I'm thinking of adding some red to at least one of the chopping board shoulder guards to match the colours of those loyal to Yvraine.

Future Incubi Mimes Death Jester
Spending the night reading the Tactical cards and the Harlequins codex but was distracted by getting a start on this old guy, I can't believe somebody actually cut the Shuriken cannon off it. I have tweaked the second feed a bit so it now loops over the top of the cannon.
Can't believe I have retro fitted a Shuriken cannon onto the stump, around reading and catching up on Star Gate from last week.

Warp Spider part 1
Hadn't intended to start this yesterday but I eventually woke up fully around mid afternoon after 3 weeks with just 1 day off a week and felt like building something.
Filed out the inside of the skull to get a good fit over the current mask on the mini before I lopped off 2 of the mini blasters on the head of the Incubi to use as mandibals. I've let it cure over night, hope the cats haven't been at it during the night.

Up Next
For a change from Harlequins this week I'll mostly be trying to build a Warp Spider phoenix lord, from Drahzar, a Warp Spider Exarch and a couple of DE shredders.

Pre Orders
I'd taken my bag home Thursday morning and forget to bring it back in with for the night so I didn't get anything else done and Friday and Saturday I was wiped out and didn't do anything.
The 2 shredders arrived as have the 2 trophy racks from the Venom, so to give me a break from Harlequins I'll be making a start on the Warp Spider phoenix lord when I get back on nights on Friday.
As to pre orders, I looked at the bundle deals, weighted my options, forgot my password, so had more time to re evaluate my choice, then went ahead and bought the collectors edition anyway. Looking forward to this landing and having a good read and working out how much my Harlequins come to in points.

The Sergeant And The Drummer Boy
Tonight's WIP, took me ages to mix that tartan paint right.
The Sergeant , loyal defender of The Great Pretender. In game terms he'll mostly be armed with a kiss.
And the Drummer Boy, herald of The Great Pretender. In game terms as he has twin pistols he's being designated a fusion pistolier.
And kiss tomorrow.

Shadow Seer For The Great Pretender Troupe
Tonight's WIP, shadow Seer based on Annie Lennox at the tribute concert for Freddie Mercury, the high lights on the legs aren't showing up but it isn't yet 5am here.
Plan to do the other guy tonight around cleaning like my favourite relative was coming round for tea, based on Fish in the kilt from the Lavender video, the drummer boy is also getting a mini started tonight.

Talon Master
Spent some time working on the Talon Master conversion. I cut the assault cannon off the Forge World tempest and replaced it with the twin heavy bolters that i think came in the Nephilim I bought on ebay ages ago, and then spent some time filing down the backs of the dreadnaught assault cannons to get them to fit them to fit the mount where the missiles were.
Tonight i finished the Talon master, mostly. Just need to give the aquila a touch up.
Happily this is also my 4th Land speeder, so keeping the numbers.

Harlequins Previews 2018, Part B Masque Forms
Hope this is everything, I've just woken up

Codex: Harlequins – Masque Forms
Nobody goes to war quite like the Harlequins, a faction so mysterious that they make their cousins in the Drukhari look like forthright, honest chaps. In the new Harlequins codex, this is reflected by a choice of six Masque Forms that provide some powerful – and unusual – bonuses to your Harlequins army.
True to form, the Masque Forms are among the most distinct and unique faction rules we’ve seen in the game so far, each opening up a host of new tactical possibilities when it comes to customising your army and confounding your foes.
Today, we’re revealing ALL of those Masque forms to help you decide which you’ll use when the codex comes out – and perhaps, to tempt you to service of the Laughing God…
The Midnight Sorrow are warrior acrobats, using their immense physical dexterity to confound their foes at close quarters. On the tabletop, this is represented by The Art of Death, a Masque Form that makes you nightmarishly difficult to pin down once you hit the enemy lines.
Consolidating up to 6″ means that, when you blitz through an enemy unit, you’ll likely be able to chain into another one, proving very disruptive for any force that relies on shooting. Falling back an additional D6″ also has a variety of benefits; remember, with your Flip Belt and Rising Crescendo abilities, you’ll be able to move over models as if they aren’t there, before charging. Defensively, you’ll be able to put a LOT of distance between anyone that tries to pin you down, while offensively, you can wreak havoc behind enemy lines, using your Fall Back moves to get to the heart of your enemy army.
The Veiled Path revel in trickery, misdirection and deception – traits represented on the tabletop by an appropriately sneaky Masque Form:
With a 4+ invulnerable save and a range of ways to mess with your opponent’s hit rolls, Harlequins can be surprisingly durable, with Riddle-smiths making you even harder to attack in close combat. If you’re looking to make your Harlequins last longer on the battlefield, this is the Masque Form for you.
If you’re looking for a simpler – but no less effective – Masque Form, the Frozen Stars allow you to make the most of your Harlequins’ close-combat prowess with Hysterical Fury:
Remember – Harlequins can Fall Back and charge, meaning you’ll be able to benefit from this several times during the game. By gearing up with powerful melee weapons like the Harlequin’s kiss (it’s a lot less nice than it sounds), you’ll be able to blitz through enemy units before they even have a chance to strike with a hefty 5(!) Attacks per Player on the charge for your Troupe units.
The Harlequins of the Dreaming Shadow are among the darkest of their kin, imbued with a grim sense of purpose. On the tabletop, this translates into a Masque Form that punishes your foe for any losses they inflict:
With this Masque Form, you’ll be able to throw your Harlequins into dangerous foes, safe in the knowledge that your casualties could well swing the conflict in your favour. We’d recommend taking larger squads of Harlequins, kitting them out with as many deadly pistols as you can and getting them into range as soon as possible – any foe looking to take them out could be in for a nasty surprise.
The Silent Shroud are the most terrifying of the Harlequins, and allow you to make the most of your Morale phase with an interesting Masque Form:
In an army composed entirely of Harlequins, this will work superbly with your Death Jesters, whose shrieker cannon can reduce the Leadership of target units, but where it really comes into its own is in a mixed Aeldari army. By combining a Detachment of Hemlock Wraithfighters with some choice Drukhari units from the Dark Creed Haemonculus Coven, you’ll be able to drop enemy Leadership by as much as 9 – enough to transform every single casualty into a devastating rout.
As you can see, the Harlequin Masque Forms allow you to create a diverse and unusual range of army builds for your Harlequins – and we haven’t even gotten into new psychic powers, Stratagems, Relics or Warlord Traits yet! Come back later in the week when we’ll be looking at these in detail – or start your Harlequins army with a Troupe, available online or in your local store.
Monthly Vow 14th of May To The 12th Of June
Seeing as the vow is pay day to pay day. . .
That whole not buying thing didn't go so well, the Incubi are now up to 10 strong and there's nearly 2 troupes worth of old metal harlequins at home, one that I have ideas for and one that I have no idea about yet and then there's the Talon master from the Forge World land speeder tempest.
There's also the "big build" I'm planning which is the Warp Spider phoenix lord.
Review time.
Started out by stopping my hoarder tendency and using a couple of large magnets and some smaller ones to get the legs on the top of the Raider. I also built the pole cats and added some bunting to give a carnival look.
The buying this month included the other coated Incubi Warrior, but it didn't have the halbard so I had to improvise. I magnetised a sword arm I had spare and added a blade to the other arm as I didn't have a pistol spare.
Then the rest of the Incubi Mimes Troupe came along, as well as the Voidweaver which I tried some free hand on.
Last up was the Shadow Seer for the Mime Troupe.
