Death Jester

With the replacement Death Jester arriving in the week, I got the face mask out and fitted it to the heaD. This time round I fitted the support arm first to the back, then fitted the gun arm before cutting a tiny bit off the fringe and getting that fitted onto the back, this is planned to be the Exarch for the Death Jester counts as Shadow Spectors.
So with the spare I intend to have a crack at doing an above table top standard paint job on it as a display piece.

Seksikäs Wraith Stallion And Base.

Taking advantage of a day off by painting my latest conversion.

Started off giving Seksikäs a base coat of ushabati bone, along with the base.


I then gave it a nihilakh oxide wash, I also touched up the gems various washes.


I lastly gave it a dry brush with white scar.

The base was a base of ushabati bone then I washed it all with sepia, when that was dry I gave a little bit of it a second wash but went over the line I'd intended so went and did some more.


After that had dried I lightly dry brushed with various shades beige.

Wraith Stallion

Made a bit of progress on Seksikäs last night, and mocked up the Towering Destroyer.

I had an old metal Bright Lance doing nothing, so I green stuffed it to the arm that was already broken off.

The leg that I cut off was reattached with green stuff but fell off with handling so add some magnets so it won't matter.

The 3 other legs have all been glued in place on the body, there is a stud on the back foot that goes in a hole in the base to help Seksikäs stand.

The Towering Destroyer is just mocked up for now.


Plan to cut the upper hips off and not sure if I'll add magnets to it or just attach it with green stuff and glue or go full tree man on the upper chest and arms.

Credit Where It Is Due.

As noted I'd ordered a plastic Death Jester from Triple Helix on the 12th it finally arrived on Saturday, I opened it up on Sunday and started putting the ruin on the stone

and as I start putting the Jester itself together I noticed that the face masks aren't on the sprue, as I cut it open myself they must be miscast. I put it aside and carried on with the Bright Stallion instead.


Fine work with a round file there.

It being Sunday nothing was done apart from an email to Triple Helix to confirm who to take this up with. This morning I rang GW customer services team anyway and was asked to send them a copy of the order email, which I did. Less than an hour later I had a reply that a replacement kit is on it's way to my front door and should be with me in 2 or 3 working days.
Great service as always from GW.

Bright Stallion Seksikäs

I have a Wraith Lord, I used to have it in my Harlequin Army, I never like the pose of it but it was cheap on ebay. So rather than go and make the 3 extra War Walker this month I'm changing my build list and making another 2 Wraith Lords one in the Bright Stallion and a second in the Towering Destroyer style.
So today to give me a bit of a break at work, 40 hours worked in 3 days, I took the project box for something to do.

Horrible pose on this, so I cut the leg off to give me some freedom.

I then spent some time working on where the to put the second body, it was attached with green stuff and moved around and glued in place after moving it up a bit.

The front leg has been reattached with green stuff.


This is a rough mock up of Seksikäs while the green stuff cures. More on this and the Towering Destroyer tomorrow.
