GW Safe Tank Girl

Was distracted yesterday and only focused on the Games Workshop shop safe Tank Girl.

Subrina Sub Girl and Boat Girl are the next focus, Boat Girl is mostly going to be the main colours of the rest of the gang with a Russ Grey base, agrax earthshade wash and fenrisian grey highlights.

The rest of Ricci's Company., metallics to do as well as shirts and hair.

Finished 2 Minis Today

Got the Orlocks built on Friday

And I made a start on painting everything yesterday, including the metal Kal Jericho I've had for a couple of years now.

Jericho is going in the Enforcers as just a regular patrol man, if he lives long enough to get a promotion the sword might be a stun batton, one day may be...

As I was focused on yellow today I also got the GW safe Jet Girl finished.

Plan A is to get the GW safe Tank Girl and the rest of the Company painted up before the 12th.

Jet Girl And Harris

Was doing a bit of house keeping and realised I needed to at least start building these guys. May or may not have been influenced by the propaganda broadcasts of the Assault Astartes with the jump packs, chain sword and pistols. Upgrades will be a bolt pistol each and keep the auto pistol as a back up weapon.

After a read through of Tank Girl characters, there is Tank Girl, Jet Girl, Sub Girl and Boat Girl which means that I need to build both Sub Girl, Boat Girl and a GW safe version of Tank Girl

Bruce And Hound

Finished off the Cyber mastiff that I'm no where near buying in game yet.

My main focus for this week is to get a read through of the rule book this week.

Finished Stuff

I finished the sword on the Cannoness.

As well as touching up the shoulder on Jet Girl, and after a quick look at the Tank Girl Wikipedia page, the I found there is another friend of, called Sub Girl, who has been named as Subrina, Jet Girl hasn't been given a name that I could find.

Lastly I got Bruce finished, along with her Enforcer Bolter. Bruce is the replacement for Sheila, as he died in the first campaign game and I need some more ranged weapons in there, and this is the first of these.

Sunday Was A Busy Day

I got Jet Girl on her base, there's a bit of a touch up needed on her shoulder but that's about it for this one, the next step is to build a version of these 2 in GW minis.

I started doing the leather bits on both the pilot and Serverlan, her coat and boots and the flying hat, straps and boots on the pilot. The pilots fight suit had a base coat of The Fang. I got home this morning, gave myself a hair cut and did a layer of Russ and Fenris grey and the fur trim with palid wytch flesh and the skin on the arm and face a Reikland flesh wash. Still need to do the base and the dog, as well as her map pockets and various buckles to do.

Hope to get this finished today, even if she is looking a bit like my ex...

And lastly Serverlan and her cyber Hound. We kicked off the Necromunda campaign last week and in a stunning run of luck, in the first game my patrol leader has died. Handily this was already on its way, which means Bruce here will be replacing Sheila as the Patrol Leader. I'll be giving her something with range so that she can hit from more than 12 inches away.

This Week's Stuff

Got a few bits that arrived Tuesday that I'd bought second hand, the Morvenn Vahl, Severalan and Cyber Hound and the Orlocks Veterans, the last one is mostly to make Tank Girl and Jet Girl that I can use in GW stores. I've also got the Victoria Miniatures Ukraine mini, the pilot and dog.

One of my Facebook groups has a monthly challenge, this months challenge is a miniature in a different scale than you normally paint, as this is a true 28mm I'm thinking of entering it in that challenge.

Serverlan and the cyber Hound have been put together, I dropped the unhelmeted head on the floor and bounced into the Warp, so I'm using the helmet options. The Hound goes together lovely, the head was a really well worked two pieces. I'm thinking of doing the coat in the agrax earthshade leather process, so the plan will be get both in ushabati bone as the pilot has a few bits that I want to do in a leather look.

Number One Mechanic

Not had much time this week to do anything. Which means little bits here and there.

I got the yellow on the shirt done, inspired by the Jet Girl Special Tank Girl cover.

I kind of wish they'd given her the hat.

Jet Girl

With We Print Miniatures Junk Girl already in the Orlock Gang I was looking for a female mini in We Print Miniatures female section I found Future War Mechanic that looks close to how Tank Girl's friend Jet Girl. So of course Jet Girl has joined Sharp's Company.

I gave her an ushabati bone base coat, skin was the contrast paint.
The overalls /g suit has had a base coat of dark green and a Coelia Greenshade wash.
I need to do a bit of research on Jet Girl's hair and shirt, as well as checking what an actual g suit looks.

Orlock Gang Boosted

Behold The Compensator has arrived!

As Ricci is a bit of a knock off of Tank Girl (comic book not film) and it's satirical slant on macho comics from the 90's a tank with a massive cannon was a must, the fact I've wanted a reason to buy one of this version of the Russ for years was a happy coincidence.

A brief bit of background on the tank.

Lost in the Ash Wastes. Found on the outskirts of a tank battalion training ground, just don't ask about the rusty brown stains inside the tank and those bullet sized dents in the crew compartment, retrieved, stashed and forgotten about at the distant Orlock mining outpost of Dead Rat. Rediscovered by Ricci as a kid, she got the engine firing after months of tinkering. A serviceable tank bought her out of the 2 options of mining or "hostess" and onto a Cinderjack road crew.

The house have told her they haven't been able to get any shells for the main gun, but have found some paint shots, the battle cannon is good for 1 shot and the heavy bolters have a semi reliable supply of ammo. There's a nagging doubt in Ricci's mind that the Cinderjack nobles might actually have more ammunition for the tank but don't want to give it to the daughter of prostitute and some unknown miner, and if another push by Cinderjack nobles to take over the Orlock Clan comes the the nobles might try to come for her tank.

Ricci has made a couple of mods to the engine since she got it working (need the Outlands book for this one).

I kind of ran out steam at that point.

The Wreckers box also arrived yesterday, which means I have a GW female body I can build if I ever take this gang down to Preston or Warhammer World, or give her a bigger gun than the first stubber she currently has.

Monthly Vow 12th Of June To The 12th Of July

The Monthly Vow day is today, let's see how I did with the last one.

I dropped the Stormcast thing as it didn't have enough feet as the base went missing, and We Print Miniatures look to have stopped producing their not Duela Dent so that got swopped, but everything else got done.

For next month, I need to get a couple of Orlock things, I want the Wreckers box and the Forge World minis as I feel like having a GW mini for the gang leader would be a good idea. And I bought Ricci a tank as well... So there's that to paint as well as the rest of the 1000 credit gang.

Review Time

The first thing to get painted this month was the Watcher in the Dark to finish off the Terminator squad from last month.

I got my new photo set up sorted and did a few up graded photos.

As someone had asked how the orginal dread measured up to the later versions.

I got the first Quad bike built for Ricci's Company. I did have to wait for some magnets to mount the wheels on as I wasn't happy gluing them to bike.

I made a start on the 2nd quad, the Orlock bases and the judge from We Print Miniatures that is an alternative leader for my Enforcers.

The Ukrainian support miniatures from Victoria Miniatures landed, and got put aside.

The second quad was finished for Ricci's Company.

The second of the We Print Miniatures Junk Girl was painted up how the youngest had asked for.

The Warhammer Community page on Facebook has asked for the mini you are most proud of so I dug Gregor Fell Hands out and shared a new photo.

The next up was the replacement for the Grand Master of the Masque Of the Breaking Dawn, as I painted this green, I also did the judge.

I can swop the gun over from the over mini, and let's hope I don't drop this one.

The alternative patrol Leader got painted up for the Enforcers and looks suspiciously like an Oz City Judge from 2000AD.

The last thing to get done was the last 4 of the Enforcers, and the sniper rifle.

With these 4 I have this gang at 1000 credits and have an alternative leader for 11 minis
