8 Knights In 4 Nights

As has been shown I've been doing the Knights of House Lancaster this  week, there's 3 of the Gatling cannon, which is the most versatile of the weapons options as it can be mounted on either side as the shield doesn't have bias, unlike the melta and battle cannons.
The 3 melta versions.
And lastly the 2 Battle Cannons as I've already built one of those already.
Also did the Titan base and found out I need more astroganite hence half and half Martian dust and astroganite.

Knights Of House Lancaster

I had planned to start on the Warlord tonight but forgot the fracking Warlord instructions! But I did have all 8 of my Knights and the instructions for them , so 3 multi meltas and 3 big gatling cannons that thanks to the shield can fit on both sides  and not look off. I only had 2 of the battle cannons left, as I've already built and painted one of them already. And I couldn't resist, I bought an old knight to add to the battle cannon squad.

Two Squads of 7

Alongside the suggested build last night I got the first 7 of the plague marines painted, and tonight around my work commitments, I got the 2nd of 7 done. There's just one thing I need to redo and that's chop the plague knives off 2 and fit bolters on those hands now.

Suggested Build

I had these 2 spare from the Conquest magazine and had no idea what to paint them as, or what to do. A mate suggested that I paint them as Storm Wardens, and someone suggested I do them back to back on a 40mm base as a depleted squad waiting for re-enforcements.
I also got some suggestions for Sons of Malice and Lamenters, so if I but some or more Intercessors are in the offing in Conquest, I'll paint them for those 2 chapters, the Hellblaster might end up as them.

Soon!

Fingers crossed for next week! Looking for the unboxing photos when it arrives.

Squad Of Reivers

After a trawl round town I was able to get 9 Reivers with 1 spare from a while ago, I now have a squad of 10, to re enforce The Lion's Blades.
Next up are 2 squads of 7 plague marines to be painted in the Consecraters colours inspired by the Nurgle Terminator from the Consecraters in the Pandorax novel.

Reivers

Last time I'm dashing around town picking the magazines up to make a full squad of whatever as I'm just waiting on a confirmation email regarding my subscription, and it's pox walkers next week and I STILL haven't painted the first lot that got First Strike box.
On to the Reivers themselves, got to say these ones went together much better than the first lot I bought, and rather than the clamp pack these came in a box, that also includes the lead bleacher paint, guess who'd just bought some lead bleacher last month, and now had 4 pots of it. . . And I ran out of primer again. So I was able to secure 3 copies that netted me 9 Reivers and with the spare from the Hounds I've got a squad of 10 now to paint up for the Lion's Blades, will throw these in the project box along with the plague marines as they are all starting off black with red bits, hopefully I can knock both of these off in my 3 nights at work this week.
And on a side note I should be expecting my Harry Potter stuff before the end of the month, so with October looking rather Titan heavy some school kids should make a nice change.

Conquest

So I took the plunge and went online and took out a subscription for Warhammer 40000 Conquest, I not sure I'll get all the way to week 80 with it though. I'm doing it as it gives me a direction to go with my building, I can add some of the chaos stuff to the Cypher Chosen Detachment, and the Imperial stuff can be folded into The Hounds, The Lion's Blades or The Ordo Astartes depending on what it is and what I want to paint.

Some Conversation Work

I converted some of the monopose Conquest plague marines, some simple arm swops and I cut the blade off one of the sword arms and added a bolter.
The 15th will be being made up as with 2 new arms , a really old chaos warrior big axe and a Storm bolter.

Conquest Part 2

As I mentioned in the Monthly Vow post, I picked up 2 copies of the 2nd issue of Conquest yesterday, I'm thinking of bobbing to a second paper shop tomorrow to see if I can get another 2 copies so I can then run 2 squads of plague marines, in this case corrupted Consecraters, in the Cypher Chosen Detachment.
I am really thinking of taking out a subscription to this  series as it gives me a Primaris options to paint for The Lion's Blades and some Chaos stuff to pad out the Chaos force.

2nd Intercessor Squad

So after trawling my local paper shops I was able to get enough copies of Conquest to get 2 squads worth of Intercessors, not sure what to do with the 2 spares I've got.
And I brought what had been a bolter death company squad for my sold off Knights of Blood back into the DA with a promotion to Veterans.
The Knight got a paldron marked up and a captain for the Ordo Astartes strike force got glued back together as the head had come off, the bolt pistol arm is glued but the plasma pistol will be left blu tacked for safe storage.
I also picked up 2 copies of issue 2 of Conquest with a plan to make a squad of 7 plague marines, I have 3 already from the First Strike box painted up for The Consecraters with a plan to add them to the Cypher Chosen Detachment and his Marneus Calgar Dæmon Prince allie.

Monthly Vow, 12th of September To The 12th Of October

Well I chose not to start my titans yet when I found out that the Reivers were due in September, so I can get the big stuff started all at once and also because I'm waiting for magnets on the slow boat from Hong Kong. . . So to do, 8 Knights, 2 Warlords and the 2 Reavors, I've heard a whisper that Warhounds are due in early October which I think will mean they get bumped into October - November Vow along with the planned 3rd Warlord.

Review Time
I started out with the 2 of the 3 surviving dreads from the Knights of Blood , I did the metal venerable dreadnought for the Iron Hands chapter and the easy build Redemptor Dreadnought for the Mentors Chapter, both of these are now in the Ordo Astartes strike force box.
The Tomb Queen arrived, which ment I was able to finish the boots on the ground, for the Harlequins army. I also took the chance to base line the armies I have this month.
I started building one of the Knights to see how it went together and then took a break to read Master of Mankind I got that painted this week.
Before I got onto the Knight I did a couple of Harlequins, just for fun, and I had a "to hell with it" moment when I did the maths and it ran to £14 for 21 Primaris Astartes, and with the one spare I had I've now got 2 squads of Intercessors for the Lion's Blades. Also I touched up what had been the Death Company as a Veterans Squad for the Lion's Blades. I managed to get one squad painted today, and I need to get a bright blub for work so I can see what I'm doing with the second squad.
