To Do List

Yeah that fracking thing just gets longer and longer. Still got the 3rd Chorus, Shadowseer and Troupe Master to finish, along with the Raiders and the Knights of Blood/Charcadons and I'd promised myself I wouldn't be buying anything till I'd finished the 'quins, one more promise I wasn't able to keep, but with the Treeman Ancient for £28 all in I couldn't pass it up. It galvanised me to finish a plan for my Eldar, an Expdoite World. I plan to fill out some slots with bits & pieces from the Wood Elf army, Rangers as counts as Storm Guardians and Glade Guard as counts as Rangers, the Forge World kit will make a squad of Corsairs to use with the Void Dreamer.

Some Bugger Beat Me To It!

Well bollocks. Sincce the new Wood Elves leaked out I thought about making them into an Exodite Army  and turning that Treeman into an Avatar Of Khaine and flicking through this weeks White Dwarf it really does look like Chris Peachy had had the same idea more or less, after reading through his article I think I can pull this off. The Wildwood Rangers look good but the only thing I can think of using them for are Storm Guardians. I'm still thinking of using Dryads as Wraith Blades, although I think Wraith Guard will be better as Wraith Guard models. Jet Bikes where interesting, I'm thinking of using Eagles at least for Vypers and of course I'm thinking that Way Watchers for Rangers and green stuff on the Guardians for camo cloaks.

WIP Medic Girl and Saber Tusk

You know you can rely on me to totally ignore the latest big release of the weekend and once again I don't touch on those lovely looking, ginormus, "minitures".
I pulled the bits box out and found a las gun to fit on the Medic Girl, I found my green and painted the helmet and first aid bag, still need to give her a nuln oil wash and touch up. I also dug out the old leader of my Corsair Band to remind me of what colours come next, I've dry brushed the coat with white and will be giving the pants, boots and hat another coat of sepia, the boots will be black with dry brushing of Ice Blue and will do hair black with a wash of Nihilakh Oxide to see how that works, the Saint will get striped, thrown in with the Venerable Dreadnought when that gets here. I'll give her a coat of black and an Oxide wash as well just to see how it looks.
Also yesterday I dug out some heavy weapons to go onto the Saber to give it full weapons options for a Razorback. Just need to paint them up and find a place to store all them guns, most likely those will go in the back of one of the modern Rhinos. Need to go buying a couple of things on ebay that are ending today.

Saint, Medic and Pirate Lady.

Most of my time today has been taken up with building a conversion of the old Tony Cottrill built Saber tank that used the bits left over when you made the Spartan. I did give The  Saint another dry brush and Esme got a Seraphim Sepia wash, will need to dig my Corsairs out to remind me of the colours. I also got my youngest to dig out some of her Tank Girl Graphic Novels so I can copy the helmet.

Twice In One Day?

Having money in my bank at this point so late in the month is bad, I'm a weak, weak person and even though the Eldar Corsair project is now firmly 2nd or 3rd on my "to do" list I went onto Black Scorpion Miniatures today and I couldn't stop myself I just couldn't, when I saw these 2 I just had to buy them... I intend to use this as the Corsair Princess in my Eldar Corsair Army when I get round to that of course, I have the 40 odd Knights Of Blood to paint first and bikes to finish off, super heavies to finish and other bits and pieces, but yes, she'll be my new leader. This is going to be my Medic in my Guard army when I start to expand on them.

Retrospective Of My Eldar, with BOOBS!

So I dug out my Eldar last night as I'd promised a guy on Facebook I'd send him one of my Death Jesters, as I have 5 of the old metal ones and I took the chance to snap some better photos of them. This one will be the Farseer, I'd asked on the Facebook Eldar group I'm in on which wiould be the better weapon option for him and was told the spear would be better, so yet another mini project begins.

Next we have my Corsair Bladesworn accross the top, made from the Wytches you get in the Venom kit, below them is the Farseer and the Princess Sirocco, this model is the Black Scorpion Miniatures Jack a Roe Jones although I've just gone back to their web site for the first time in a long time and seen their new Pirate Lady on the front page and I might just swop her for that one. On the bottom row the first model is the old Ghost Warrior which I'm using as the Grinx Fimilliar for my Void Dreamer whos next along, this line apart from the Ghost Warrior are also from Black Scorpion Minatures ( go and have a look there's some good stuff there, especially if Blood Bowl is getting rereleased this year), and they are Pirate Girl 3 selection and they have boobs.

And lastly is my Harlequins section, top row is the Chorus with my favourite the old High Warlock, 2nd row is the Mimes and the 3rd row is my illeagel squad of Death Jesters and an Avatar, as I said one of these is going to a guy off Facebook to finish of an old school squad of Harlequins he's got for his Eldar army.

Just about sums it up.

March and April are a bit of a bad month for me hobby wise as I end up doing shed loads of hours and not being able to get much time in on the hobbies

This was a sample photo of the Terminators that I've finished over the past week, this is the DV box set Terminators along side a Tartarus Pattern. The reason for this photo was that I'd run out of GW's old biege, I mean Bleached Bone and so went out and bought some Ushabti Bone to try that one, when I'd finished both squads they looked to yellow compared to the other Terminators, so I dropped into the local Worthy games and picked up a pot of Screaming Skull and gave them another dry brush with that shade of beige

(Come on guys, the misses pulls out a paint chart and I can't spot the difference between apple white and blueberry white but I can tell you that there's a difference between 2 shadesof GW biege?)

And lastly the first of the Jet bikes for my Corsair Eldar

Need A Bigger Table

My whole collection on my coffee table, I think I'm going to need a bigger coffee table

And these 2 show the Lions Blades 3rd Battle Company, 8th Assault Company, Command structre and the Lions Blades 1st Company with 50 Terminators so far, 45 shooty and 5 with Lightning Claws

This will form the coreof my Chaos force, the old Necrons will be Chaos Androids. The Guard will be Skittarii Legion and won't be to Chaosie as I'll want to use them as allies for both sides

And finally my next project the Corsair Eldar.

Harlequins

So I won some of the old school Harlequins off of ebay and have been painting them up slowly 5 as Mimes with a Master Mime, here is the Master Mime, a character that really needed a model I felt

This is the squad as was I've trimed it down to 5 as you can see below, it doesn't show up to well but they have all got a dark mix on at least one part of the mini. My next project is to give the power fist model a Harlequin Kiss, which will be a knife and some green stuff.

This photo is the squad with the High Warlock, who , most likely, will be operationg with them most as the Veil of Tears will help to get them into combat

As you can see the High Warlock has a very different colour scheme to my normal work well I was watching the news in the morning at work when I saw the barcelona fc away kit 2012/13 and thought I'd like to try that.

I'm rather pleased with how this has worked

And here we have something I've had kicking around in my head for a very long time. Years ago, just about the time Hercules, The Legendary Jounrey and Xena Warrior Princess finished the production team made another series called Cloepatra 2525, about some kick ass woman going around a tunnel system beating up the bad guys, now the character here is Creegan one of the regular bad guys in this program, he'd been sold out by the person that ran the team and wanted revenge on who ever it was by turning the girls away from the leader, Voice I think it was called. So for years I've had this guy sat in my head popping up every now and then saying use me for something.

So over the years he's been ignored mostly although he did pop up as a bad guy in a fiction thing I was working years ago and ran out of steam with, he's also part of the foundation for my latest character in the RPG I'm playing in round at my mates house, along with Frank from the Transporter series. He's now also the insperation behind my Troupe leader.

And lastly to this the Barcelona Home shirt, I found this one while I was looking for the spelling of Barcelona and thought I'd add it as well as one of the next Harlequins I use will be painted up in these colours

Felarch Upgraded

As some of saw, I recently bought some of Black Scorpions Pirate Girls range and painted them up to be the leaders of my Corsair Eldar Squads as well as the HQ choices as well.

The 2nd picture shows where I was up to last, I'd run out of splinter pistols and was looking for a sword for the twin flint lock girl.

Well after a game the other week where I found a bag of bits with lots of pistols in I found a splinter pistol and dug out an Elf sword as well that I was planning on using on a Marine Librarian at some point, I cut off the flint locks and added the eldar weapons and a simple and effective conversion is done.

Pirate Girls, more Boobs!

Okay here we have the other 3 Pirate Girls from Black Scorpion Miniatures, I've painted these the same as the other 2 only I've added more flesh as they are all showing a bit more skin. The only thing I've done any different with the 2 with swords and splinter pistols is I added a coat of bleach bone then washed with the nuln oil before dry brushing with the white I'm currently using.


And these 2 are showing the full force that I have right now, the only one missing is the Shuriken Cannoner off the Venom

Girls! Pirates! Girls! Boobs!

Now I have somones attention, these are the female Pirates I bought from Black Scorpion Miniatures, as a small company I had to wait a week 10 days to get them, but they where worth the wait.
This top pic is how the 5 came out of the boxthe 3 girls above each other are ear makred as Squad leaders for now. the one with the Bee Hive and musket is my Void Dreamer, Myst'ral and the Skele is my Corsair Princess The Comtessa Sirocco












This shows the ladies part worked on, I've added a pony tail to the Comtessa, this also contains her Shadowfield, Myst'ral has had the musket cut down and filed half off to give me more surface area to glue on the Tomb King sword blade, I've also cut the flint lock off and gave it a quick brush with a file to make it look like a swords tang rather than a musket stock. The 2 models with guns and swords had the flint lock pistols cut off and replaced with splinter pistols, the model with 2 pistols has had no work done it it




This is show casing the 2 HQ miniatures in the Army, the first is just showing what work has been done, this is still early green stuffed pony tail and blu taced sword stage of work







These 2 photos are showing all the work I've done on these 2 minis. So I've already talked about the work done on them, so this is the end paint job. Each model has been based coated white, then a Sepia wash was added, a touch of Ice Blue ( I am going to have to buy the new version of Ice Blue soon and will be using that on the Squads). I then touched up the white areas and then gave the cloak and coat a nuln oil wash. I then 3 spent hours dry brushing both of them while I watch the last Once Upon A Time, Peter Kay Live in Manchester and Bad Sugar on Sunday night. Just have to hope my photos can show my meger talant off.

The Venom Foehn

The first photo is of the gunner for the Venom, he'll be being moved around at some point and shoe horned into one of the Corsair Squads as the Venom will be getting a missile launcher when I start getting stuff together for this army by buying all the kits from Forge World.
