Bits Done

I was sat looking at this this week when I wasn't doing other stuff.

I remembered that I have a couple of new on sprue Gregor Fell Hand and thought I should probably use one of those lightning claws on the left hand. I'm using the axe from the Deamon Prince sprue.

The power pack has been green stuffed onto the back and the arms are green stuffed on the shoulder plates, which have also been moved around.

I'm thinking of adding the topper from the power pack, either on the skull in the middle or on the clipped off exhaust stub.

Dane Axe It Is

The Dane Axe won the vote as the lightning claws got 1 and the axe got 5. So there's something different to work with for Björn.

Also, after 2 refunds, one stolen off my door step and one lost in the post office I finally got hold of Death's Head action figure and totally buggered the re sell value by taking it out of the box to get a better look at it. The printed background in the box could be handy as well. So far it's just photoshopped but will try something on Monday

Björn The Plans For The Next One.

So these guys are on order with my local shop. There is a the axe and shield option and the twin lightening claws arms are the 2 options I'm thinking trying on the Bjorn Chaos dread.
If I can't decide I will be asking which looks better on this guy.

So onto the other minis in the box.

Plan A for now is to make sure I have everything I need to paint those 5 Terminators in the Wayne England Thousand Sons colours and get some practice in as it has been a couple years since I last painted one.
If memory serves me correctly the process was;
Storm host silver base coat on the body, I can't remember now if it was palid wytch flesh or Deepkin Flesh wash over the sliver for the metallic white look.
Yellow Shoulder Pad was avaland sunset base, orange wash, yeril yellow, into flash git yellow.
Blue Shoulder Pad was a dark blue, don't remember the shade, a draken hold blue wash and then blend up to temple guard or thousand Sons blue depending on how I feel.
Trim will be retribution armour gold with reikland flesh wash, highlighted in the usual way.
I'm saying this is from memory as I did save it in a note pad app, but the screen went on the phone I have it saved on, so it's lost unless I put it down on paper in a note pad somewhere.

The Next Chaos Bjorn

This one stalled can't lie. There are still a couple of things off with it.

The new scale terminator arm works better than the very old chaos warrior arm, and with the announcement of the Space Wolf Terminators coming to pre order next Saturday, I messaged my local 3rd party store to order the box, and it drops on payday. So that's something to look forward to on the next monthly Vow.

The other thing I did was blu tac the power pack from the Deamon Prince to it, to see how it would look. Apart from top heavy and skipping leg day vibes I'm not sure, for sure I'd have to commit even greater tech Heresy and snip off the exhaust pipe on the back for a better fit and green stuff to hide any gaps.

New Year New Drive

Okay yes I've had my usual Christmas slow down and a serious drive issue in November and December.

To kick the 2024 painting off I started with priming most of the spear head box, I left the outriders out of this as I'm hoping that assembly before priming will reduce that panel gap issue these have. The captain, ATV and jump pack marines are all primed, fingers crossed it's not too cold on Saturday to spray as I'm hoping to build the bikes Friday and get some black on them Saturday.

The dread has had a couple of extra panels added and the catphracti terminators arrived and some shoulder pads for the arms which I haven't got a photo of yet

Blue Sky Target Close

With realising or remembering that I only needed to get the Land Raider Proteus finished and I'd hit the blue sky targets I got it primed and base coated during the week.

On Saturday I had a lot of shopping that needed doing so once that was out of the way I put the grand Prix qualifying on and was as unimpressed as I thought I was going to be by the Vegas race. I also made a start on the Proteus Carrier.

The plan for tomorrow is prep chicken for tea, find the chapter icon from the Raven Wing sprue and see if I have 2 of one for the back doors, get a coat of black on it, then details.

Once this is done it's onto this bit of techno heresy.

The latest in a long line of Björn The Fell Handed. There are a couple of Dire Wolves in my eBay basket to give me some more plastic fur to hide the details on this old boy.

I'm probably going about this the worst way possible but that would not be the first time. I do have the Gregor power fist but I'm pretty sure I'll have to find a Terminator arm to attach it to to get a decent fit.

Morvenn Vahl Nundamn

Taken me a whole lot longer than I intended it to, but working a new shift pattern has left me working out how to fit this in with my hobby time.

The red on the shoulders and skirt/ kilt really does stand out against the grey.

The suit goes together well, the kilt could do with better instructions and the waist needs a bit more work.

I do like this one and potentially might actually get the box of the these at some some point.

Not In The Zone

Still not in a great place for hobby stuff, but I thought it might be a good idea to paint something anyway just in case my brain has gone off that as a pass time with the Necromunda campaign fizziling out.

I'm planning on this being finished in the Space Wolf Primaris Intercessors scheme, with added ivory.

Nundamn

So far this month I've mostly focused on reworking the Rainbow Sparkle Power Friends Reunion story over doing other hobby stuff.

This afternoon I dug out the box I'd put the Morvenn Vahl Nundamn in and made a start on putting it together in.

It goes together really well, although the skirt takes a bit of woro  to visualise and the waist is a bit wierd to get in place but that might have been me being a bit rusty.

Monthly Vow 12th Of August To The 12th Of September

Okay, the Nundamn didn't even get out of the box, but the kaiju sized Mcfarlane Toys Sister Of Battle surely counts double for this?

Okay so plan A for this month, to Patrolman to be promoted and to get shields, think I'll toughen up the pair of shot gunners with a shield each. Beyond that, the tank at least needs a picture with the gang...

Build wise there are plenty of Sisters and I managed to get issue 49 so have a Penitent Engine to build, as well as the Nundamn.

Review Time.

The Cannoness, Jet Girl and Bruce all got the last little bits done.

The Cyber mastiff was painted next, still needs a name... And to be bought in game.

The Mcfarlane artist proof Sister of Battle for a clients birthday present. As a project I enjoyed this, I found it a challenge in a different way, because of the size of it. I'm hoping we get an artists proof Dreadnought at some point.

The Orlocks got built as one of the group wanted a first game, but that fell through.

As the core colours are mostly the same I added the Kal Jericho mini I've had for ages into this lot as well and everything got the agrax earthshade leather process.

This one is a regular patrolman rather than the named character with stub guns rather than Las pistols.

The GW safe version of Tank Girl was done first, I just need to find an autogun that's not got a hand on it to give her.

Boat Girl and Subrina

The rest of the crew. I think I've deleted the Jet Girl pics on her own...

The Sharp books side of the company

Still need something for Sub Girl to have her foot on

And everything bar the tank...
