Monthly Vow 12th of October To The 12th Of November

Well I  focused on the Björn Time Line and was successful, getting the Juggernaut rider, Chaos and loyal RT dreads and the Radukar Wulfen Jarl Björn finished, a Brutalis dread was located and the bits have arrived for the next Björn dread, which is planned for October to November.

Looking at my rota I'm not sure I'll be able to get anything done hobby wise, my next significant timmy off is at the end of the month.

Which is why I'm calling this month early, and posting this on Monday .

Review.

Björn, Jarl of Khorne.

I'd started painting this version with an already assembled Björn and it wasn't working for me. I built one from the bits I have around the house.

The painting was nice and easy in parts and then felt I needed to make it more Khorne looking, and as I was only able to get my hands on the Khorne Berzerkers box, so I used the most Khorne head and the power pack with the icon.

I notice now I've forgotten the blade, but I was going to change that anyway.

RT Era dread

Again I'd had this little guy for a year and was planning on painting it in the Celebrants colours and then I finished the RT era Chaos dread version and well in the way these things balance each other out it wasn't a difficult decision to scrap plan A and switch to plan B, for Björn.
It came together so quickly and easily and I really like how it came out.
Also the post with it nearly broke into my top post in just a week.

Chaos RT Era Version
Or the yang to the last guys ying

As I said in the finishing post, I really thought that I wouldn't actually get this one finished and see it done is a big relief, and just leaves the original metal chaos dread to finish for this.
I was scrolling through old photos and the first pics of this conversion are from 2021.

Björn, Wulfen Jarl of the 13th Great Company.

The first I did was to get the power fist to fit better, with some filing on the fist and the bracers, I tried not to damage the knotwork on the bracers.

I added the dreadnought shield as it fits scale wise.

I dug out the blood for the blood god paint for the gore on the hand and put the shield down somewhere I can't find now.

The fur here had a dry brush of wraithbone to make it look more pale.

The base got some work done then I went and changed my mind,

And flocked both of these bases.

So not entirely without talent.
Plan A wasn't exactly followed this day, yes I'd got these 2 guys built and painted but I had also had a dig through the last armies on parade box I did for the World Eaters mk4 dread.

And started painting this for next years project. I edge highlighted it with fenris grey the next morning before I left for work, as the night before I finished the blue off on the shoulders.

A bit of wet blending there, I even bought a cheap wet palet to use going forward.
The axes were finished later, I didn't actually get a photo on their own.

Over the Friday and Saturday I got the Satanine Preator built and painted. I made a mistake on the cloak and it not curved enough.
I also got the World Eaters dread finished for next years project started.
