Monthly Vow 12th Of June To The 12th Of July

The Monthly Vow day is today, let's see how I did with the last one.

I dropped the Stormcast thing as it didn't have enough feet as the base went missing, and We Print Miniatures look to have stopped producing their not Duela Dent so that got swopped, but everything else got done.

For next month, I need to get a couple of Orlock things, I want the Wreckers box and the Forge World minis as I feel like having a GW mini for the gang leader would be a good idea. And I bought Ricci a tank as well... So there's that to paint as well as the rest of the 1000 credit gang.

Review Time

The first thing to get painted this month was the Watcher in the Dark to finish off the Terminator squad from last month.

I got my new photo set up sorted and did a few up graded photos.

As someone had asked how the orginal dread measured up to the later versions.

I got the first Quad bike built for Ricci's Company. I did have to wait for some magnets to mount the wheels on as I wasn't happy gluing them to bike.

I made a start on the 2nd quad, the Orlock bases and the judge from We Print Miniatures that is an alternative leader for my Enforcers.

The Ukrainian support miniatures from Victoria Miniatures landed, and got put aside.

The second quad was finished for Ricci's Company.

The second of the We Print Miniatures Junk Girl was painted up how the youngest had asked for.

The Warhammer Community page on Facebook has asked for the mini you are most proud of so I dug Gregor Fell Hands out and shared a new photo.

The next up was the replacement for the Grand Master of the Masque Of the Breaking Dawn, as I painted this green, I also did the judge.

I can swop the gun over from the over mini, and let's hope I don't drop this one.

The alternative patrol Leader got painted up for the Enforcers and looks suspiciously like an Oz City Judge from 2000AD.

The last thing to get done was the last 4 of the Enforcers, and the sniper rifle.

With these 4 I have this gang at 1000 credits and have an alternative leader for 11 minis

Not A GW Day.

Finished off the highlights abd and handily the seraphim sepia wash and yeril yellow arrived yesterday morning for me to get the fixings on the coat and bodice finished after of course highlighting the bodice and stockings. Now I just need to get this one in the box without dropping her.

As I was highlighting green on the coat I did the same on the judge for the Enforcers.

I gave the boots and pads a base coat of Averland Sunset with a Fuegan orange wash, then a layer of yeril yellow with a flash git yellow final highlight

He is a little bit taller, so I'm planning on getting around that point by saying he was recruited from a Goliath Sector.

The last pic is of a 2000 AD Oz City Judge, I'm not sure if the mate that suggested the colours has even read 2000AD or not, but that's spooky.

Skipped One Forward

One of the Facebook groups I'm in does a monthly challenge, last month it was anything with a sale, this month its paint something green, so I skipped a mini ahead in the list, even though the planned Enforcers and Orlocks are both green, and started the replacements for Harlequin Troupe Master that right after I'd finished painting I dropped and broke the fingers off of.

If you fail to remember which one it was from my vague description.

I started off by cutting the arm off that I'll be replacing with a sword arm and giving it all an ushabati bone base coat, I was busy looking for the sprue with the Harlequins weapons on right after I took this photo.

Using the 4 coats of Coelia Greenshade wash on the shoes, coat and hat.

And 3 coats of Druichi Violet on the stockings of bodice and bow tie. I went back over the cost features with ushabati bone, as well as touched up any skin with ushabati. The fasteners and sword are getting a seraphim sepia wash as is the belt, sword and monocle + chain and the flesh is going to get a screaming skull coat, then a palid witch flesh layer. Finally the face will be done.

Today is highlights on the coat and judge as they are both green, as well as purple highlights on the legs, body and hair.

Monthly Vow 12th Of November To The End Of December

Well not sure how I did with the Vow this month, just going to go and check... Wow, missed one thing with the Necromantic Horror team, but everything else got done.

Plan for this month is mostly focus on The Hounds of Morkai in the Pre Magnus thousand sons colours, when that's finished the plan is pack the stuff away for the Christmas break, and use that break to get a plan in place for 2022, either Knights or Necrons around the Imperium stuff.

Review Time

Tiny bit of wibbly wobbly, timey whimey as I started this on the 11th, this Doom Fire Warlock is a replacement for one of the Death Jesters.

I then started on the Taken King, I kept getting the head and Cape wrong on this one...

The head was in the wrong spot here, there's a cavity on the chest that the clasp covers.

I used the hq mini from the War Cry box as another version for The Masque's affiliated Solitaire.

I really think I got this one right.

My mates Legion of The Damned from the trip down to Nottingham.

The next few are the core reason of why I bought this box, and I wanted to give this a Troupe the weapons I say they have with Harlequins Kiss and Shuriken Pistols.

As you can see I wanted to replace the very old metal Wardancers with the War Cry shadow stalkers.

I know I got the look that I wanted with the build of this, but I feel I missed something with the paint.

When it came to this one it was a second thought, I didn't really care how it would come out but the end product was something I was really happy with.

The next 2 again really got to what I was aiming for.

The Troupe together at long last with the metal Way Watchers, Spell Singer/ Shadow Seer and the War Cry minis.

I'd found a grenade launcher in one of the Aeldari bits boxes and painted it for this one.

The last one finished from that box was the Executioner from the Lords of Old Troupe, can't remember if this is the Star Player or Trouper.

There is a Death Jester and The Scarcrow to do, but I think I've gone the wrong way with the Scarcrow and need to recheck which Death Jester I want to replace, but I'll move this forward next year.

I have eventually got this blended assault cannon finished, just need to pack it away now.

Last one for last month was the 6th assault Intercessor, the one I'd lost the knee pad for, I got this one started with a trophy knee pad made from a skull I'd found while deep diving into the bits.
