Saint, Medic and Pirate Lady.

Most of my time today has been taken up with building a conversion of the old Tony Cottrill built Saber tank that used the bits left over when you made the Spartan. I did give The  Saint another dry brush and Esme got a Seraphim Sepia wash, will need to dig my Corsairs out to remind me of the colours. I also got my youngest to dig out some of her Tank Girl Graphic Novels so I can copy the helmet.

The Saint Celestine And Boobs.

So I added a tiny bit of dry brushing to my dead space bird for effect. I also started the Medic for my Guard/AM army, it was a shame to cut the M4 off but not that much I'll be adding either a las pistol or las gun after I check the options in the current Codex.

The Saint Celestine

While traveling between locations this week I sneaked into Preston GW and picked up some more Seraphim Sepia and bought some of that technical colour Nihilakh Oxide to give it a go ( thinking of using this on psykers to denote Force weapons). The manager suggestef that it does etherial figures well as well so I thought what can I try that on? With the Saint being dead, yes I know Living Saint, I thought I'd try it on this mini to see how it looks, and with this being metal it can go in some nail varnish remover to get cleaned up when I get round to the Black Sisters.

Daemons!

This is my Daemon Princess for my Black Sisters Army. I know she is rather small, see the bottom photo, but I'm thinking more of grace and lithe rather than rip your head off and suck out your soul.

Below you can see all 4 of my Daemon Princes. The top left is my XIX Daemon Prince, nothing done to this mini apart from paint and stick it on a turret from a tank kit, the mini itself is The Horned One from Slaine The Barbarian from the good old days of 2000AD, below that is the Daemon Princess which is just a straight paint job of Hasslefree Miniatures Siouxsie (HF4006) in 40mm scale. Next is my Daemon Prince Sanguinor/Asteroth for my Knights of Blood and lastly, but by no means leastly, is the Monster Conversion for my Iron Warriors, built from a knock He-man action figure, and is one day going to be replaced possibly with the Chaos Decimator from Forge World.

Reenforcemants For The Black Sisterhood

These are all models from Hasslefree Miniatures that I've adapted into 40k with the addition of Bolters and a Plasma Gun and using the Grymn Jump Packs as Power Packs as well. Paint job was real easy, I base coated with Darksun, and dry drushed a light yellow over the top then gave the each mini a Leiche Purple paint wash, althought I had to give them 2 washes this time round as I'd thinned the Purple too much on the first one.

Daemon Princes and A Daemon Princess

Well I've got money coming in now, so I'm looking at getting each of my Chaos armies a Deamon Prince. The XIX already have a metal Daemon Prince made, untouched, from The Horned One from Slaine the Barbarian.

My Iron Warriors have the converted He-man figure, to be added to with something later. Long term plan is a Contemptor Daemon Prince and a Dreadknight Daemon Prince Conversion

The Knights are getting a modern Spartan conversion, a Contemptor and I think I'm going to try to use the plastic Deamon Prince to make something that looks like the Sanguinior... A brazen angel if you will.

As to the Black Sisters I feel that I may have to go outside of Games Workshop, as they don't have many large scale female for 40k. Thinking of either of these 2. I will of course be buying feathered wings to go on these guys, cos even Fallen Angels started out as Angels and birds and bats are 2 different animals.

Just realised that this leaves me with Gadens Androids and Skittarii without a Daemon Princeling... Maybe I'll have to look to the Tomb Kings for something big or look around for a big Spider Mech..

Colours.

Well here I am after a big weekend for the Necron players with a random post of my own about colour schemes.
When I started back in 40K a couple of years ago I wanted a scheme that was easy to paint and look good, this became the basic colours for the XIX Chpater, as I got better at painting again I got better I expanded on what I could do and tried different things and have ended up with a, what I think, is a good scheme but allows a lot of variation to be done. As I went on my next project was a Daemon Hunter Force, but when the new Codex came out this was ditched and the models reassigned to variuous new projects, some went into the XIX as the Assault Troopers and others became the back bone of my Iron Warriors and Knights of Blood. The Terminators from my Daemon Hunters where kind of left without a home till I started thinking of doing a Corrupted Sisters of Battle Army, but I had to wait till the Dark Eldar Wytches came out till I could get teh heads that I wanted to give them the right look. The colour of the Lady stayed the same from minute one, but I did end up repainting the whole lot of them black at one point before I changed my mind and went with the yellow with a purple wash over it. The next 2 projects came along at the same time as a result of the re-shuffle I'd had when the Daemon Hunter Codex came out and freed up somewhere around 80 miniatures, I was rather godsmacked by how many I actually had and split them right down the middle, with the more dynamic stances going into the Knights of Blood, the Furioso Librarian Dreadnought is shown below and the static botler across the chest persent arms stance being used in the Iron Warriors. There wasn't a lot of variation allowed in the colour schemes of htese 2 armies but as my skills heve progressed I feel, oddly, better able to go and make a job of the limited palette allowed by these 2 'named' units. Once again here is my Contemptor Class Dreadnought. When I'm getting more money in I will be buying more of these. And lastly we have Gadans Skittarii, this will be split into 2 forces, one of Androids and one Skittarii which will be made from a mix of Catachan, Zombies and any Necron spare limbs I get from my next project which will be Gadens Android Force. For the Skittarii I could only go with one colour for the Mechanised Infantry really. I did a few trail colours and the combined platoon is yellow jacket under blue armour with any colour helmet, boots and pants, as I delieve in making it look like this force is picking up bits and pieces along the way to replace worn out and damaged kit. I may just change the jacket colour yet to match the Mechanised Infantry. The Mechanised Infantry are being painted up with, and if you know me you'll understand this, brown coats. I couldn't in all good faith go with any other choice for these guys.
The Androids have thier own colours of metalic and mechrite red shoulder plates. With the newer Necron kits coming out more of the may need a repaint to bring them in line with what the others are.

Order

these are the 2 things I ordered from Hasselfree Miniatures. Yes I can count and I know that there are 5 jump packs but they come in packs of 5. As you can see they are way too small for Marines but I will be using them on The Black Sisterhood as I'm going for DE Wytches as Assault Troops over SoB's

Long (Long) Term Plans For The Black Sisterhood

Shiny! My order arrived from Hasslefree Miniatures today. I'm saving the model till after I've done my living room. The jump packs aren't really big enough to go on Space Marines but will fit on the Dark Eldar Wytches I've done as Chosen. Change of plan here I think is now in order rather than Seraphim models I'll be ordering some more of these jump packs, enough for 30 mini's. For the actual characters I'll be using the Dark Eldar Wytches with Imperial bolt pistols .

New Ideas and a new compnay

Well new to me at least, not heard of Hasslefree Minitures before I'd had a look round Wayland Games before, but I'm glad I did, as I think I have found my next Squad of Chosen for the Black Sisterhood. And a shed load cheaper than GW. Yes I do know that this means I'll not be able to use them at a GW shop or 'Serious GW' Tourney, but hell I don't see anyone having an issue in friendlies and club games, as long as it's made clear that it's a counts as squad.
And here is a helpful little link to their web site.

Total Points of The Reavors Warband.

Had a couple of hours this evening, so sat down with my army lists and my collection to see how much in total I've actually got.
One full company of Chaos Space Marines with 4 HQ choices, 7 Elite choices, 4 Heavy Support choices, 3 Fast Attack choices and 6 Troop choices totalling 4632 points.

The Black Sisters, my elitest section so far and will carry on being so till the rumored plastics arrived, have 2 HQ choices and 3 Elite choices, 1 squard of Chosen and 2 squads of Terminators totalling 1133.

Hudsen Gaden army totals 1911 which includes the Poxy Proxy Banehammer.

The Iron Warriors have 2 HQ choices, 2 Elites choices including the Contemptor, 3 Havoc squads and 4 Troop choices, totaling 2070.

My Knights of Blood have 3 HQ choices, my metal Terminator Librarian, a scratch built Terminator with Lightning Claws and a scratch built model to represent Gabriel Seth. The 2 Elites are a Sternguard Squad and my Furioso Librarian with 4 Troops, 2 Tactical Squads and 2 Assault Squads, totaling 1890 points.

Lastly there is my Khorne Berzerkers which has only 3 units 1 Lord with Daemon Weapon, Plasma Pistol mounted on a sword and a jump pack with twin linked bolters mounted on it and 2 5 man Berzerker squads with Rhino Transports, totaling 640 points.

All told this little lot rocks up at 321 models and 12276 points with more to be added. Think I'm going to need more storage soon. Because of 6th Ed and natural evoluation of ideas this isn't how my armies look now.

SoB WD Codex Plans

So after a quick read through the White Dwarf Codex my plan for the Corrupted Sisters is changed a little. At the moment I'm thinking of using the Sourceress, the Terminators and Chosen as Chaos Marines to represent the first to fall and the successful experiments of Fabius Bile. The Saint model will be used as a Cannoness and using the rest of the, to be bought, Sisters as Fallen Sisters who worship Slannesh. I will be planning on keeping The Acts Of Faith to represent the favour of The Chaos God as well as taking an Apostate Preacher with body guards, some Archo Flagilents fit nicely, will be looking at some of the other models as well to round that unit out.
As I have already said, plastic converted Terminators, plastic Dark Eldar Wytches and some metal Sisters of Battle

Re worked Black Sisters part the second

The top image is of my HQ choices for this army on the left is my Slannesh Lady, this model is a minor conversion of the St. Celestine with an Empire Mattock, a Twin Linked Bolter and a Plasma Pistol, the Mattock is going to be a Daemon Waepon and the bolter does still have the 4 mags I was using when I was planning on running with this model as one of the missing Primarches,(let me know if you'd like to know more about that in a comment). The second model is an almost standard Serphim Sister Superor just with the old Dark Eldar Scourge winged jump pack insted of the fluted jump pack of the SoB, and this is my Sourceress

The bottom image, and not blurred for once!, is of the full painted strenght of this section of my army to date. As you can see it is very elite at the moment and I've only fought with the Chosen and the Sourceress so far and the Chosen tend to act like a fire magnet but they have taken out a Predator and a Land Raider and the squad that was traveling in the Land Raider as well before getting shot to pieces.

Re worked Black Sisters

Above we have the new colour scheme for the Black Sisterhood.

Top is one of the Sister of Battle Terminator Sqauds made from a collection of parts mostly Space Crusade Marine legs, being big and chunky, with a mix of weapons mostly from the Fantasy Chaos Warriors the top squad has a Heavy Flamer.

Second is the 2nd squad of Terminators, same mix of weapons, the 2 modles with skull shoulder pads denoate the squad champions.

The 3rd picture is of my Chosen squad, the champion is made from a Blood Bowl Amazon with 2 blades and a Sisters of Battle Flamer back pack, the 2nd modle is a standard metal Sister of Battle and the rest are made from Dark Eldar Wytches with Marine weapons

Nearly Done

It's a bit of a sad moment for me today as I'm almost finished with this stage of my army. I've had a repaint of the Black Sisters to match the colour scheme on the St.Celestine model I'm using as the Lord choice. This paint job is rather basic but gives a good result, it's a base coat of Iyanden Darksun with a Liche Purple, very thin, wash and a contrast of Chaos Black on the chest, with the weapon picked out in a range of colours. Pictures to follow.
My next project is to finish off my Sanguinary Novitiate and then it's onto do my living room which is something I've been putting by doing this army.

What's Next

Now that I've finished my Knights of Blood as far as I can for now I'm working on a couple of other things, one is the rules for the Poxy Proxy Banesword and the other is a squad of terminators for the Iron Warrior section of my army and lastly there's the re-paint on the Black Sisterhood I'm going with a yellow base coat with a purple wash as and just use the name Black to represent the fact that they are Chaos now, and I also don't have to re-pain the St. Celestine model I've already got painted up.

Okay the special rules I'm planning on going with are The Living Relic rule that Bjorn the Fell Handed has, to represent the amount of time and resources invested in the super heavy and something like this for the big gun;

After the first structural point is gone any roll of a one on the to hit roll results in a short of the cannons systems and the crew rush to patch it back up, it also means the tank is covered in a bank of steam and smoke so shots at the tank next turn count get a cover save from the smoke cloud

Gaden and Chosen

Top is my Forge World Titan Tech Priest, painted up in the Rouge Trader colours for the Mechanicus. Bottom is my Chaos Chosen of Slannesh, made from from Dark Eldar Wytches with some Space Marine weapons. The Champion is made from a Blood Bowl Amazon with a Lizard Man head, 2 blades to make Lightning Claws and a heavy flames Sisters on Battle back pack.

Top is my first 3 of 9 Chaos Terminators made from mk8 front bodies and tech marine body backs, the legs mostly came from Space Crusade box marines. The weapons are a mix of Chaos Warrior and Ork, apart from the Champion who has the sword from the Cypher conversion I've already posted.

Middle is 4 to 6 of 9 same as above really

Third is 7 to 9 of 9. 2 actually Terminators in this one.

Top is the 'new' wings on my Slanneshi Sorceress. This is the only change from the standard model.
Bottom is the rear view of my Mechanicus Lord that doesn't really show the quills, have to try this one again in better light. Any one any idea when this rain is going to stop?

Slannesh Sorceress

This is My Slannesh Sorceress, no conversion done at all on this one, just straight from the blister pack, a Senior Sister from a Serephim Squad. Although I have since added a pair of the old Dark Eldar Scourge wings. Look like a winged jump pack rather than the flutes on the Serephim model.
