Lord Flash Hart

I've had this one knocking around for a while now, and with time off low this month I'm looking for little wins.

This guy needs no introduction, where's he been? Where hasn't he been?

It's a nice little mini.

I got the screaming skull base coat done on Tuesday morning, after doing the building on Monday night.

The doublet was given a nuln oil wash, then wraith bone once that was dry, the cuffs and ruff had a touch of palid wytch flesh and highlights on the sleeve, tummy, and chest. I think that came out rather well.

The bloomers, tights and whatever it's called on the shoulder had a corvus black base and nuln oil wash. Highlights were a corvus black and eshin grey mix, getting lighter with celestine grey mixed in at the end.

I added a touch of blood for the blood god to the broach.

The hair was yriel yellow with reikland flesh wash, and then yriel yellow as a highlight.

Little Steps.

Who would have thought that Geigor's head would fit so well on Kharne The Betrayer... Now I just need to paint the armour grey and get the skin tones to match...

After I got home late from work yesterday I wanted to at least get the Terminators built as I ordered the possessed Khorne warriors the 3 fold ascended and exhaulted are they?

I should probably read the Codex and make this army legal. I'll stick it my back for my next sleep.

I also got Lord Flash Hart out to finally paint.

We Print Miniatures Space Kharen will be used as an aspiring champion for a squad. Probably going to give her the Kharne power pack and give Kharne the Björn power pack. As I'm off this weekend I'll look to get the metal bits of Kharne cleaned and both Kharne and Kharen started.

Monthly Vow 12th of October To The 12th Of November

Well I  focused on the Björn Time Line and was successful, getting the Juggernaut rider, Chaos and loyal RT dreads and the Radukar Wulfen Jarl Björn finished, a Brutalis dread was located and the bits have arrived for the next Björn dread, which is planned for October to November.

Looking at my rota I'm not sure I'll be able to get anything done hobby wise, my next significant timmy off is at the end of the month.

Which is why I'm calling this month early, and posting this on Monday .

Review.

Björn, Jarl of Khorne.

I'd started painting this version with an already assembled Björn and it wasn't working for me. I built one from the bits I have around the house.

The painting was nice and easy in parts and then felt I needed to make it more Khorne looking, and as I was only able to get my hands on the Khorne Berzerkers box, so I used the most Khorne head and the power pack with the icon.

I notice now I've forgotten the blade, but I was going to change that anyway.

RT Era dread

Again I'd had this little guy for a year and was planning on painting it in the Celebrants colours and then I finished the RT era Chaos dread version and well in the way these things balance each other out it wasn't a difficult decision to scrap plan A and switch to plan B, for Björn.
It came together so quickly and easily and I really like how it came out.
Also the post with it nearly broke into my top post in just a week.

Chaos RT Era Version
Or the yang to the last guys ying

As I said in the finishing post, I really thought that I wouldn't actually get this one finished and see it done is a big relief, and just leaves the original metal chaos dread to finish for this.
I was scrolling through old photos and the first pics of this conversion are from 2021.

Radukar The Beast /
Björn, Wulfen Jarl of the 13th Great Company.

The first I did was to get the power fist to fit better, with some filing on the fist and the bracers, I tried not to damage the knotwork on the bracers.

I added the dreadnought shield as it fits scale wise.

I dug out the blood for the blood god paint for the gore on the hand and put the shield down somewhere I can't find now.

The fur here had a dry brush of wraithbone to make it look more pale.

The base got some work done then I went and changed my mind,

And flocked both of these bases.

So not entirely without talent.
Plan A wasn't exactly followed this day, yes I'd got these 2 guys built and painted but I had also had a dig through the last armies on parade box I did for the World Eaters mk4 dread.

And started painting this for next years project. I edge highlighted it with fenris grey the next morning before I left for work, as the night before I finished the blue off on the shoulders.

A bit of wet blending there, I even bought a cheap wet palet to use going forward.
The axes were finished later, I didn't actually get a photo on their own.

Over the Friday and Saturday I got the Satanine Preator built and painted. I made a mistake on the cloak and it not curved enough.
I also got the World Eaters dread finished for next years project started.
I was
