The light around here has been bad for months so I bought a light box. Might need to add some stronger magnets to the sides though.

Road Trip!

I was very kindly allowed to borrow the Wigan GW 40k table for 10 minutes today, after spending nearly an hour chatting and buying some paints.
The Björn project, now to wait for my Ordo Chronos Inquisitors to get finished.

At Least I Didn't Collapse The Universe

This took a couple of hours to set up and dismantle and I took so long several of the Dreads fainted and a couple have  broken ankles so not everything is upright.
There's 69 dreads on the board and not much room for many more.
There's been suggestions that I take this and progress to a company's worth of Dreadnoughts , which I've, frankly, balked at and that's not just because I've made a vow to not buy any dreads this year, but there's storage issues as well.

Base Line For The Lion's Blades 1st and 2nd Company

Still working on my base lines for this year ,  I got out my 1st and 2nd Company, as well as my Dreads, all 69 of them, posting up tomorrow.
Onto the 1st Company, no plans to do anything with these, although I do now have 2 Tartarus Terminators spare.
My 2nd Company, minus the Nephilim.
With the move to 8th my bike squads are now under strength, so the plan is 2 bikes for each squadron and as the Land Speeder squadron can  now be taken in 5s I'll be adding 2 more of these, and maybe replace the demigryphs with bikes at some point. Will get at least one of the easy build versions and one of the full versions to compare the experience of working with them. The 6 bikes I will trust to ebay to provide, although I have found 2 bikes while I've been going through boxes the last few days, so I only need 4 bikes.

Was in the Oldhammer group earlier today and saw this from one of the old gods.

The Lion's Blades 2018 Base Line

Few days off and I thought I'd get the Lion's Blades out for some photographs so I can base line them for this year.
I've added very few models to this army this year, less than 10 for sure,   I found the veteran Sgt that's photographed on his own, Ancient Brother Bethor with the banner from a Primaris, the other assault squad also got a new Sgt and there's the 5 Hellblasters as well.
Plans for this year are in motion, I've got 5 more DI box Hellblasters on the way I'm going to paint for this army, and can also be run with the Ordo Astartes strike force, I'm looking at buying 2 squads of 3 Inceptors with the plasma guns, again to run with the Lion's Blades and the Ordo Astartes force. Beyond those I don't have plans for any more of these this year.

Monthly Vow, 12th of January To The 12th of February

This month has had a couple of distractions, Christmas and The winter warmer tournament.
For that I still needed to get the Razorback finished and swopped the turrets over from heavy bolters to the assault cannons, which need to go back into the Land Raider box.
The Enorm Björn got done at last!  I really do like the Redemptor Dreadnought kit , and I'm fairly sure that at some point down the line there will be some chapter shoulder, pectoral, and shin plates produced by GW.
Timberwolf got an upgrade as well as a second arm option, so he can have either the claw or the Seige drill.
And I got the easy build Redemptor Dreadnought and painted it up for the Knights of Blood.
For next month I've got an Assault squad to paint for The Hounds, I've got the Dæmon Prince Calgar to paint, need to find a couple of heavy bolters for this one, and I've got the flexible resin ammo feeds for the Aggressor squad so I can mount the magazines in a standard position rather than where ever you can with the plastic feeds that came in the kit, depending on wages I'm thinking of at least a squad of mk4 marines for my planned Ordo Astartes strike force, cash permitting it'll be 2.
