Monthly Vow, 12th of Aug

So what have I not finished this month, just done my customary check on last months vow and the only thing I haven't finished I think was the 2 Voidweavers, started one at least, t'other is still boxed up waiting to get done, well those 2 are second on the last to do before the 12th of September after my Banshee Exarch, I've ordered a Treeman Ancient so I can finish off Jussi Nietos and Grandmother Telvig this month as well, next up it'll have to start painting Guardian squads, and this army ready to roll, just need to fill out some extras, like Scorpions, Fire Dragons and Banshees for now.
So last month;

I painted 34 Dark Shards to be counts as Dire Avengers.

I finished the Stegladon thing off as far as I can without a support weapon to mount on it, as that is future buy I've put this away for.

I got some photos of a willow tree to compare it to a silver birch for how I plan to paint Grandmother Telvig.

This is important to me okay?.

After reading the Dark Angel Codex I knew I had to do a Warden In White Dreadnought using the old metal Venerable Dread I have in my collection, the one that was Thunderchild, so as I'd pulled everything out the other day to check what I had Formation wise I pulled the Chaos Dread from The Unhallowed, as it looks old and painted it up for my Deathwing,

And upgraded this chap with a Plasma Cannon.

I have this to paint black with an orange ribbon on it + the other still boxed

this lady to finish as my Howling Banshee Exarch,

and I plan to re-paint the 10 of these Incubi as counts as Striking Scorpions, from before the Father Fell To Chaos.

So 2 Voidweavers, 1 character, 10 Incubi and 2 Wraith Lords to knock off this month. Best get over this infection thay has me so distracted right now.

Poorly Proxy.

So I've been ill, still am actually, I'm waiting for test results but I think it could be that cryptosporidium parasite that is currenly being cleaned out of the water works. I spent most of the weekend mumbling in bed...
So after getting some REM sleep cycles in last night, I felt slightly refreshed and made a start on Kruella the Vile. I cut the strut of lead off the foot and dug out a helmet to rest the foot on. I also chopped a zyperglave off it's arm, did a little bit of work on it, for now it's blu tac in place, I'm aiming for in impression that she is twirling it round her hand.

Forge World Bulletin #72

So taking a moment from my discomfort, I checked out the latest blog post, and it looks like the DA and BA upgrade kits will be here soon.

Party At Cassa Del Proxie!

Stripper has arrived! This dirty, dirty girl is going in the bath and stripping for me tomorrow.
She was in the 3rd ed Dark Eldar Codex but I missed her.

The plan is she will be the Banshee Exarch.

Voidweaver Number 2

Once again time is hard to come by so not much has been done this week.

I think I made a mistake in gluing the top half to the hull before at least painting the underside of the top half.

One ribbon on this as it's the first one.

I do like this model and wouldn't say no to picking up another 3, these would be orange and black though

Conflicted

I was in my way home on Saturday from a shift in Preston and dropped into the Preston store and was chatting to one of the new chaps they have in at the moment about my Exodite project and how best to represent Striking Scorpions, my thoughts are old Incubi of which I already have 10 of painted up for the Malal Dæmons army,

GW Shadow Warriors

Or as was suggested by the staffer White Lions

.

Now my thoughts are older style ambush hunters, the Incubi have the link to the Scorpions in The Fallen Pheonix, and The Shadow Warriors have the look, the White Lions I think already aren't what I'm going to end up using as I don't think it'll fit with what I want.

Talk me round, give me your thoughts, please.

Yes Those Boobs...

What else is there to say... ? Well apart from this dirty girl is getting a bath when she lands at Cassa Proxy and painted more in keeping with Howling Banshees than a S&M club night special.
