Monthly Vow 12th Of March To the 12th Of April

Monthly Vow time, how did I do?

The core goals were reached! With a little extra added on as well...

What about April?

Well the Deathwing Terminators need painting and the Enforcers need building and painting, which I think is a safe target for now. Any extras will get added to the post as always.

Review Time

I got the bits stripped and cleaned for the metal Land Speeder

As it didn't come with any pilots I had to cut the pilot and gunner out off the crushed one, there was a leg day to make them fit in the seats with green stuff used.

The inside shoulder pads had to be left off so that they would fit side by side, which shows scale creep has been going on for years.

I put the head on the gunner before it went in the box.

I'd bought the Storm Speeder off a mate, the one who is building the Legion of the Damned, but his plan changed and I got this off h9m for my Ravenwing army.
I'd been holding off buying one of these as I was put off by the grav plates after the I'd built Repulsor, and not hearing any chatter about them in the Dark Angels group.

Putting the skimmer together was very nice, everything is a pleasure, and I'd be happy to build a second, although I think I'd be buying the up armoured upgrade kits.

I've got the link saved on my home so I can get that armoured skimmer.

The Chronomancer dropped with the Imperium series a couple of weeks before I got to this one. I dug the Mechanicus box that has the guys with the swords and got 4 arms, my original plan had been to use 4 of the same swords, I'd cut 4 swords off and put them in a safe place. A very safe place, so safe I forgot where they were, so I ended up using 4 more swords, and used different ones this time. There was some green stuff used on the shoulders as well as a bit of filing to get 2 shoulders into a socket designed for 1 arm, and a different arm at that.

Each sword has an edge highlight of a different colour, red, yellow, blue and green.
And Pakal The Great was finished, of course with Pakal looking like a certain Cyborg general from a certain franchise I had to add an upgrade to the action Ezikael I and so I raided the coin jar and bought a box of the Sequotors with a specific head that just so happens to look like a certain Jedi Master..

I also need to get a better angle on this.

Before I got the clash photos set up I made a start on the Gravis Beliel, using bits from the Heavy Intercessor Captain and the fine cast Beliel.

I really can't chose between the storm bolter arm and the master crafted Bolt Rifle so I painted both.

Once this was done I got the clash together with some scenery from the Mortal Realms Series.

I'd also gone half's on a box of Deathwing Terminators and made the plan to paint them at the same time as I painted the new Muegan Ra.

That didn't work out.

I got this assembled and lost the short arm under the sofa for a couple of days.

I used contrast Black templar on the robe with corvus black with eshin grey and Adeptus grey as a high light.

The top knot was given a base of screamer pink, Crimson wash, a layer of wazdakka red and a highlight of troll Slayer orange.

Lastly, and not that you can see it I dabbed some wazdakka red in the eyes, with a small highlight of evil sun's scarlett. I had to add a touch of screaming skull to the bridge of the nasal cavity.

Last thing yesterday I dug out the Telvig box was get the old metal Muegan Ra out and get them out for a side by side shot.
