Deathwing Assault Box

 Okay order is firmly placed with my local shop, cash is in the bank, just waiting on the price to come out so I can pay the shop. Now it's fingers crossed the scalpers don't buy it out...

Hatchett Combat Patrol

 Just submitted a subscription to the latest Hatchett Warhammer 40,000 part work, Combat Patrol, I'm planning on keeping the Space marine, Gene stealer cult and Guard patrols and as I've gone all in on the primium subscription I at least don't need to buy a Brutalis dread for the Björn version and the Rogal Dorn as well as the Brood leaders.

The chaos marines and Ork sides have already been claimed by my mate in Japan and I'm offering my mates any of the others.

New Year New Drive

 Okay yes I've had my usual Christmas slow down and a serious drive issue in November and December. 

To kick the 2024 painting off I started with priming most of the spear head box, I left the outriders out of this as I'm hoping that assembly before priming will reduce that panel gap issue these have. The captain, ATV and jump pack marines are all primed, fingers crossed it's not too cold on Saturday to spray as I'm hoping to build the bikes Friday and get some black on them Saturday.

The dread has had a couple of extra panels added and the catphracti terminators arrived and some shoulder pads for the arms which I haven't got a photo of yet 

Plans For 2024

It was November when I started this.

So step 1 - check how far off target for this year I am. The blue sky targets look set to be hit at least...

Step 2 - post a list to blogger about what is planned for next year. 

Step 3 - baseline the dread force.

Not sure on the maths here but I'm about 100 in the photo with a leviathan unbuilt and the 8 eldar dreads still stashed.

Rough plan for 2024

Ordered the Christmas marine box plan A is go and pay for this Friday, anything over cash wise gets spent on brass Scorpion and a base brush. This box is being given to my daughters to hold onto until Christmas. 

Make an effort on the Blood Angels Dreadnought army. Issue with this is waiting for the Balistus dread to get a release and finding money and enough Death Company dread kits to finish this off. 

Get back into the Björn Time Line Project the Chaos side.

 After getting the the dreads out I did end up with an additional plan to turn a Brutalis Dread into a Björn The Fell Handed, so that's 2 to 3 months money on the 3 dreads I need 

The base line photos will help me work out what is what

See what the next 40k series from Hatchette is and if my friend in Japan wants it so I know if I'm getting one or 2 subscriptions so I don't miss out this time.

The Lion's Blades

Deathwing Assault box fingers crossed I can get my paws on one of those 

Paint the strike force box for the Lion's Blades, 

The Deathwing Assault box,if I can get one, with Beliel and the next set of Deathwing Knights when they get released as well. The Asmodeus and a couple of boxes of those Risen are on the menu, need a plastic leviathan and would like to get a Deredo at some point.

Need another box of bikes to get 3 squads of 6/ 18 bikes in total. 

Get another Nephilm kit and build it as the bomber

Blood Angels Dreadnought Army

Get a start on this one

Necromunda. 

Still need to do Sharp's Tank, but I'm not sure there's anything else to do here, as well as at least 1 Turous for the Enforcers. Possibly the genestealer cult army could be folded into this 

Harlequins 

Nothing planned, those minis I bought last year still need painting, but the baseline photo will give me an idea of what can be replaced.

Plan to base line this army on Friday 

Blue Sky/ loaded 

The Rad Armigure and the big Knight, which will give me 5 Armigures as it's one per kit from how I read the details and one of the big knights.

After sorting out the 2nd Company Box today (28th of Jan) I changed some goals ; buy a couple of Storm Speeders and a couple of Vengeance Speeders, and find out how to and get the bits to convert the Land Speeders to ATVs and swarm the enemy with 9 of the things.

Okay I've not got the capacity for a year's review I'm just drained.

Land Raider Proteus Carrier

 Got the land Raider Proteus Carrier out of the box the other day, getting it built while watching the Vegas GP, would have been better in day light so you could see the hotels and the live stream preview with the new DA.

I know it's an old story here but this a nice and easy kit to put together, the nose section is a better build than the Spartan or I just found it easier on this one, can't be sure which it is.

I got the Land Raider Protius Carrier finished with details and highlights. Just need to get the big box down for a family photo. 

Blue Sky Target Close

With realising or remembering that I only needed to get the Land Raider Proteus finished and I'd hit the blue sky targets I got it primed and base coated during the week.

On Saturday I had a lot of shopping that needed doing so once that was out of the way I put the grand Prix qualifying on and was as unimpressed as I thought I was going to be by the Vegas race. I also made a start on the Proteus Carrier.

 The plan for tomorrow is prep chicken for tea, find the chapter icon from the Raven Wing sprue and see if I have 2 of one for the back doors, get a coat of black on it, then details.

Once this is done it's onto this bit of techno heresy.

The latest in a long line of Björn The Fell Handed. There are a couple of Dire Wolves in my eBay basket to give me some more plastic fur to hide the details on this old boy.

I'm probably going about this the worst way possible but that would not be the first time. I do have the Gregor power fist but I'm pretty sure I'll have to find a Terminator arm to attach it to to get a decent fit. 

Deathwing Knights Leaked

 Seriously is someone at gw following my blog?

I know this is a potential stretch but that shield design doesn't half look like my chapter icon for The Lion's Blades 

And yes I'm buying these, squirreling the cash away all the time.
