3 More Terminators

 My work rota has changed drastically, with now an hour long commute at least. Serious thought is being given to switching jobs again.

I've managed to get all 3 of the Terminators built this week but not had the time to even paint a base coat. I'm off tomorrow so hopefully I can get some paint on these. 

It's An Older Mini Sir, But It Checks Out

 The captain arrived in the post and I made a start on it when I got home yesterday, cutting the slotta tab off the feet and trying to fit it to a 40mm base. I ended up adding some green stuff to the feet so it stood upright. 

The Thunder Hammer arm had arrived a couple of days before and was green stuffed on to the body. 

The storm shield is from the Deathwing Knights sprue as you get 6 in the kit. 

I'm planning on getting the plastic Terminator together tonight. 

Stuff Done Yesterday

 I finished the ATV off yesterday, and packed up the 2nd Company and took the box upstairs.

I was out t'shed 

Priming the Inner Circle Companions, both boxes and the Tauros that I'm not sure if I want to try it as an Invader ATV proxy...

I also primed Asmodai and The Light of Eltharion.

I was very impressed with how the Asmodai goes together, it's very well done. 

If you missed the post yesterday I've got these 3 on the way to make the close Assault squad up to 10, which ever head I don't use on Asmodai I'll be using on the plastic mini. 

Monthly Vow 12th Of March To The 12th Of April

 I reached a huge personal goal this month by getting over 100 Terminators painted and on the table. This was never really an acknowledged target as it was just a "one day I'd like to get there", but here we are, doing a proper count tomorrow, reorganising the box and getting those Blade Guard Veterans sorted for a new photo.

Targets for April. 

There are a couple of thunder hammer Terminators on the way and I'm watching ebay for a 3rd to make the lightning claw squad up to 10, the Asmodai is here as are 2 boxes of Inner Circle and the ATV & a long last a Taurus Venitor. I think the Terminators, Asmodai and the ATV are reachable goals for this, with the Inner Circle Companions as a stretch goal.

The Deathwing Knights were finished 

Beliel also had a highlight of Khorne Red then Mephisto red on the robe. 

I got the box out to sort the numbers firmly. There was 5 Tartarus Terminators, 3 lightning claw arms and the 4 heavy weapon arms from the Assault box left to do. 

I had a muck about with this guy, finding some Cataphractii claw arms, he was and bought a Space Wolf shoulder pad for it, and I'm looking for a chaos shoulder pad for the other side. 

I was happy to find the Night Lord Terminator, who took the squad to 7.

These 3 are on their way here so I can finish the squad the full squad photo is planned to have one of the Spartans in the background.

The 4 Tartarus Terminators needed to complete the 2 squads I had, there is a 5th that I'm thinking of painting as a Strike Master, even though that's gone.

Terminators Finished, Almost.

 Finished the Terminators off this morning and took some action photos with the land Raider Protius that I haven't packed up yet. The close Assault squad is being expanded to 10 with 3 Thunder Hammers, one of the orginal metal ones, there's an old metal captain along with a hammer arm and the spare shield from Deathwing Knights sprue and the other look for a spare Terminator with hammer. Then it's just waiting for the new Assault Terminators box to drop and watch for the Cataphractii Cenobite squad and characters to come back in stock at Forge World to finish the collection.

Finished these Tartarus Pattern Terminators this morning. 

So this squad will be getting 3 thunder hammers and storm shields taking it to 10 man strong. 

Plans For The Next Squad

Was out to pick my order up {Asmodai, 2 inner circle boxes and dice} and I was working on the slice and dice squad, plan to add 3 thunder hammer tenderisers to go with them. There is 1 metal thunder hammer on its way, I think I need a plastic version as well to go with it and then it's going to be a coin toss /cheapest option.

As well as the 7 minis already in this squad, 2 Tartarus, 2 Cataphractii, a Grey Knight, a bit made from some spare and a bit of techno heresy with a conversion of one of the prototype Terminators into lightning claws. Yes I did feel slightly bad about doing this.

These 3 are the ones I've worked on this week, the resin Tartarus, the one with the aquilas, had 2 arms and claws from the box I bought recently, the other Tartarus was an old one I had in the Dreadnought Legion army that was a Night Lord originally so I had to find a left arm from somewhere, I ended up using a power fist from the Deathwing Assault box on one of the other Tartarus Terminators. 

Yes I did feel like a heretic when I converted this guy into an assault marine. 

 The last of this squad are a a Grey Knight, the Cataphractii preator that I again used lightning claws on and the last one is the last of my scratch builds that I actually feel okay with keeping and those man eater fists work okay on this mini. 

Life Time Goal Achieved

 

And there we have it over 100 Terminators painted and set to go. 

Yes there are 5 grey plastic Tartarus in there, but I'm still over 100 Terminators painted here, when I get those finished it'll be 110 with only the new box of Assault Terminators to roll into this as well as the 30k Cenobites when they come back in stock. 

Okay that was the plan, well still is the plan but I've got a Tartarus & a Cataphractii spare that I'm going to give lightning claws to, this gives me a squad of seven. I'll trawl ebay  looking thunder hammer Terminators to add to this giving me a 10 strong assault squad. 

The last 3 squads that get me over the line., the Assault Cannons and heavy flamer are alas in line to be painted when I get myself in gear to finish the last 7 minis +2 arms. I'm not a fan of how the new ones go together with groin, fitting into a specific back and thighs as it lowers the posableness of the mini but the results are good I'll give them that. 

So to do list before I call this done. 

3 older Thunder Hammer and storm shied Terminators, at least one in metal. 

Save up the £75 plus postage for the Cenobites and get an email alert organised for that one. 

Wait for the Assault Terminators box to drop. 

If the Indomitus pattern gets a heresy release then yes I'll include them and any future Dark Angels characters but I can honestly say I'm nearly there with this.
