February Update.

 I did get the Primaris box out yesterday and moved the 10th Company to their own box to give me some space in the 5th Company box, as well as moving over a Company Master, a Librarian and the Phobos Librarian action Ezikael.

I called it a day after that as I'm going to need a day when I can just not worry about having a big box out, and a table full of marines while I squad everything up, match arms up and organise everything and decided if 9 put them in a proper case or keep them in the current box.

So yes fingers crossed I can get 1 Dreadnought finished on what is laughingly called my day off next week as I have a team meeting to attend. At least I'm not waking up there as well.

Also I did a test run of getting to Manchester by bus, if there is a rail strike in April. 

I set off from Chorley at 11.10am and got the Wigan bus, then the bus to Leigh and then the bus to Manchester getting in to Piccadilly Gardens at 2.15. I'd gone to get some Vietnamese food from a place on Oxford Rd and order myself some Pho. 

It was some of the best food I've had and I felt much better after eating it, but not a another 3 bus, 4 hour journey. So I got the Bolton bus back. This one only took an hour and half to get to Bolton and the 125 was it's usually self. I set off at 3.45pm and got home at 6.30pm. So my take away from this is, if there is a rail strike on the 29th of April I'm up early for the first bus to Bolton, and then the Manchester bus and a quick walk down to Central Station and the Warhammer Fest. Let us hope the dispute is settled so I'm not spending 6 hours travelling and potentially bringing several boxes of stuff back on 2 buses. The only advantage is fares are £2, so it'll be £8 to get me there and back. 

Errors In List Compilation

 While copying the list to a new pad I found I was missing 2 dreads. This morning I located the box with the Legion dreads in and had a look at what was still in there.

My plan had always been to add these to The Lion's Blades 1st Company, I just got distracted.

These 2 are getting repainted and added to the Armoury, there are a couple of things on the Ultramarines dread that'll need replacing.

I want to add this as well but don't know if I should though. 

Updating Lists

I've bought a new note book recently and so I'm spending a few days updating my army lists to the new book, paper and pen dinosaur style, and found I've no 4th Company written up and my Dreadnought list is out of date as I traded 6 of the Space Crusade dreads, having a few days off this week I'm hoping to get the dreads out and update that list and I will get the tanks out to check that that's right. 

Collection Goal!

 Finally got one of these Forge World mk4 or mk5 Dreadnoughts on the way after seeing it at a not unreasonable amount buy it now on ebay.

I just hope delivery isn't from my hermes. 

Outrider Squad 9

 Yay! I've finally got something finished, for the first time since October 2022.

As the progress shows the squad was primed one day, built the next, I had an afternoon cooking so was just the morning, and painting was finished today. 

I dug out one of the older outriders to use as a reference piece. Dabs of ushabati bone on the indicators and should trim as well as the bare head.

Touch of evil sun's Scarlet and brass Scorpion. 

And everything done bar the base. Thought I'd be rustier than I was to be honest, yes I haven't green stuffed the gap, but that's mostly because I have no idea where the green stuff is or any astrogranit come to that. 

Out Riders Squad 4

 

Plan this morning was to paint these 2 sprues. When I got home from work I found that my primer and satin black had gone walkies. Back on with the coat, back out in the rain to Halfords for their plastic primer and some satin black and £21 lighter. While I'll stick with the plastic primer, I'm going to see of I can find a cheaper satin black somewhere else. 

So a long day of prime, dry, flip the frame, prime, dry, black, dry, flip the frame, black, dry and by the time it was dry I was cooking tea and everyone was home, the sprues are in the kitchen, plan A is to assemble tomorrow, and try to get some paint on them. When this squad is done they'll definitely need a bigger box.

One annoying thing is happened this week, I found out issue 76 of Imperium has the Invader ATV and it's out of stock already. Plus side this gives me a start of a shopping list for April. 

Starting At The Weekend

 Hi all, not got around to starting much this year, I've got the 3 Primaris Out riders ready to be primed on Saturday, there's also a 6 man squad of Blade Guard Veterans to start.

The one thing I have done is check my 1st Company and 2nd Company box. The big take away is my Primaris second company needs a bigger box, the Talon Master needs some repairing and 3 more bikes is going to stretch the capacity of the current box.

The First Company, I also moved the Blade Guard Veterans into the 1st Company box at this time.

I had to get the Primaris box out as well to get the Blade Guard Veterans into the first company box. A rather large to do from that was I need to get that box out when I have time and space to go through it and check what needs a repair and pull the 10th Company out and put them into their own separate box.
